Increasing dose
There is a lot of info regarding tapering but if you are started on to low of a dose of pred is it safe for the Dr to increase, mine just went from 5 mil once a day to 10 & he said lets try this for a while to see if theres improvement. I told him that from what I'm reading here is that it isnt enough

Pain & more pain
Hello, recently diagnosed with PR & GCA and put on 5 mil once a day of prednisone, now put on 10 mil once a day. Not sure if I should take 5 in morning & 5 at night, Originally the Medrol pack gave me horrific side effects but the low dose of prednisone helps a little. The pain & stiffness is awfully

give up NDT...?
Recently, I have had reason to wonder if I am one of those patients who should not be on NDT. A month ago, I switched from Erfa to Thiroyd (Thai NDT). The main reason for this was that Erfa was causing me to itch. I knew it was Erfa because on a weekend trip away from home, I realised I had forgotten

weight loss and decreased need for medication?
I have lost a lot of weight in recent months, and I have also switched drugs (I have gone from Erfa to Thiroyd), plus switched to HC from Medrol. This past week, I have felt hyperthyroid. I sweat all the time (although it's still pretty cold outside, it even snowed yesterday), I don't sleep as well as

Feeling all weird
I feel really weird I started feeling weird earlier on today. I was sensitive to light and I felt like I would faint. For the past couple hours it feels like I'm not even "here". I was at the store with my friends and I felt like I was out of my body and not in reality. I keep focusing on mean things

take NDT at night?
Has anyone ever tried taking NDT at night, and found that it had a positive impact on your well-being...? I am asking after reading the other night that people suffering from adrenal sufficiency and taking Medrol had better take it at bedtime, so that they wake up with ideal cortisol level (due to Medrol's

Long-term experiences of being on depo provera for more than 2 years....
Hi, I've now been on depo provera for 7 years. I was unofficially diagnosed by my GP with endometriosis at age 22, but because I'm not sexually active, the women's health specialist at the hospital I was sent to refused to do any kind of surgical investigation because she deemed there no point in doing

total confusion
So I went to see a so called top doctor in Belgium the other day, supposedly one of the best. Before going there, I had extensive labs done (blood and 24 h urine). I feel pretty well overall, work full-time, lead a normal life...I feel tired from time to time, but who doesn't...?! Anyway, it seems

Medrol
I have been on Medrol since November 2011. For a while, I needed 6 mg daily. For the past year, I have taken 4 mg daily. I have tried to wean off it several times, unsuccessfully. I took my usual dose the day before yesterday, so 48 hours ago. I then decided to start taking Medrol at night instead

Tocilizumab - Has anyone had....
Hello I had my first infusion of Toc! On January 11th, it was ok needed to have the infusion slowed down as I became really Anxious, and had a bit of a Panic. It took nearly 2 hours and I felt a bit wobbly afterwards, very light headed and dizzy but it passed quite quickly. Two weeks in I had a DVT

DHEA...not sure what to think?!
I stumbled on this extremely interesting article on DHEA: http://www.drdebe.com/articles/dhea-the-real-story In the past four years, I have seen two so called Hertoghe doctors. When I went to see them, I had been on T4 drugs for about ten years, so it was already established that I suffered from hypothyroidism

NDT and adrenal fatigue
I would love to hear from people on Armour or Erfa how you are doing, especially since STTM has been claiming lately that Armour was reformulated again (and has been working even LESS well than it did after the 2009 reformulation...) and, apparently, that Erfa, too, has changed, although the company

Continuing saga
Hi! I wrote on here a few months back asking advice on finding someone to look outside the box after being treated for 5 years for sero neg RA and was no further on. Got a lot of interesting feedback from people on here, thank you, so thought I'd update you and ask your opinion on a couple of other things

Thoracic endometriosis!
Hi All. I've suffered with endometriosis for 17 years and had many ups and downs with it. I've undergone 10 laps to laser endometriosis and remove multiple cysts. My last lap was April 2015 where it's now on my bladder too. I've tried practically every treatment possible and now seem to have become immune

dark circles under the eyes?
I seem to recall reading somewhere that dark circles under the eyes is one of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Does anyone know if that is true? I have had dark circles under my eyes for years, and nothing seems to help. I have wasted a fortune on products supposed to make them disappear, without any

adrenal fatigue treatment?
I have a question about adrenal fatigue that I hope someone will be able to help me answer. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue back in 2011. Since then, I have been on Medrol (4-6 mg daily depending on my condition) prescribed by one Hertoghe doctor in Belgium. Not totally happy with the results,
