what should I do?
after taking mirapexin without success. I went on to Requip, slowly increasing the dose until I got to 8 mg, then I started get hallucinations, sparkly vision, hearing voices, etc. I reduced down to 6 mg and all those unwanted symptoms went. Went to see the neurologist who decided dopamine agonists don't

Self managing PD - Are we serious or not?
I’m back. With good reason though, inspired by a message I received, I decided to post. The following issues, in my opinion, are not being addressed properly within the whole pd community. (I am in the UK but this could equally apply anywhere). Ok here we go. (Another lengthy one) The drugs

As per reports, it has been found that a new single shot drug has been created which will change the way by which Parkinson's disease is treated. It will be quite early to say that the injectable drug will not be less than a marvel for people suffering from the disease. However, it can be said that

The hidden shame of drug-affected behaviors resulting from Dopamine agonists.
Dopamine agonists such as Requip and Mirapex can cause Obsessive Compulsive and addictive like symptoms. Documented research has acknowledged the facts. The problem is the data is skewed simply because there are so many unreported cases. The shame and embarrassment prevents PD patients from reporting

Foods that help the brain produce Dopamine
It is now nearly one year since my much loved cousin lost her long, brave fight with Parkinsons and most of what I have learned comes from being with her during this time. She always said that eating broad beans helped the brain to increase dopamine levels. Luckily we both liked them. This started

stopping dopamine agonist to start taking sinamet, how long to give in between?
I have been taking Pramipexole for a week and a half, before that Requip xl, 6mg for a year. I have to completely stop taking Prami for a week before starting Sinamet. This is going to be hard as its technically going "cold turkey". Is there anything I can do to clear Prami from my system faster

MEMORYGet yourself a drink. It may take a while to read this.
Today I lost my memory. I just could not remember where I put it but for the life of me I could not find it. I knew it had to be somewhere but where? I felt great. Made a coffee and watched the news on TV. Went back into the bedroom and I remembered where my memory was. In an instant the last 13 years
