Fermented soya/Afib query
Does anyone have Afib? I'm looking for natural alternatives to blood thinners and have seen Nattokinase and Serrapeptase recommended. However Natto is made from soya which I know is a no-no for us but is fermented soya OK? I've just started taking NAC but am concerned that taking K2 (with my D3) will

DVLA H1 form question
Hi all, I had my pacemaker upgraded to a CRT-P device last Monday. I was advised not to drive for a week, but the situation re the DVLA was less clear. I had informed them via the H1 form when my original pacemaker was implanted so had a look online. It says they don't need to know if you've just had

Lactoferrin and anticoagulants
I am a 78 old male with PAF. I take Eliquis, Flecainide and Bisoprolol. In these times of Covid a GP suggested to my son, who has no PAF, to take Lactoferrin as a preventative. I would like to take it as well, but I cannot find information on interactions between Lactoferrin and anticoagulants. Has

Has anyone else had a steady heart rhythm but changing rate?
Morning people. Woke up this morning and feel pretty weak. Heart rate on watch seemed to be jumping around quite a bit so I thought may be glitching. Checked with good old finger on wrist and confirmed that heart rate seems to be speeding up and slowing down yet weirdly is in rhythm and doesn’t seem

DCM question
Hi, This is my first post having been diagnosed with DCM (EF of 25%) in November. Its been a massive shock and I'm still feeling a little sorry for myself as at age 52 this wasn't part of the plan.... I've been told that the underlying cause is very likely to be genetic and that, even after a planned

Omicron & AF
Just wondering if anyone else has had omicron yet and how it may have affected them? I went to a super spreader wedding on 10/12 and by late on the 12/12 was aware of a scratchy throat starting. Next day I had a dull headache and slight throat issue, so knew it was omicron. LF not showing on 13th

Is my Kardia functioning normal ?
I purchased the Kardia 6 lead ecg recorder and every time I used it it says unclassified and it only detects atrial fibrillation which I know is not true because I’m in a persistent atrial flutter so I’m just wonder is there something defective because I keep seeing people with different message say

What is CHAD score?
2 months ago, I fainted 3 times in one day - 2 at home and the third time in the hospital lobby after being discharged from the ER. In the ER, they detected AFib and gave me cardizem intravenously. I spent the night in the hospital with a Holter monitor and no more episodes occurred. I was sent home

Only one Afib episode???
Hello everyone, I recently posted about having a flare up of ectopics whilst suffering from a cold/virus. (Update about that - they are lessening but still there) This flare up has got me thinking.... Quick history - I have suffered from 'heart flutters' since very young (I think I can remember complaining

ICD and how it changes your life
I’ve been told to have an ICD fitted as it’s a good insurance policy to have in case my heart rhythm start to dis align. I’d like to how has life changed since having it fitted. I read on the BHF about keeping mobile 6 inches apart and not going through metal detectors etc. What happens if I do end

Diagnosed with AFIB 3 months ago & stressed out
I was just recently diagnosed with AFIB. I went to lay down and the heart just started banging in my chest like a bunch of marbles let loose. Went to the emergency room and after a cardioversion and 30 hours of monitoring the cardiologist released me. This came totally out of the blue....I am slim,

Exercising on Amiodarone (and in Afib)
Hi - as the last throw of the dice I am taking Amiodarone (Arycor) until I get a cardioversion in January (will be my 7th on top of two ablations). So I am in a-fib - am trying to build my strength again - I do push ups, sit ups and other resistance training and alternate that with step ups on the garden

Crispy Fried Duck........no pancakes
I asked if she had shaved nether regions and net underwear and she said, warily, "no", so I said "cardioversion" All went ok, but it was a little unnerving when they were about to start the sedation, the bloomin machine loudly announced "

not required. CPR necessary!!!"
