Is Dapsone treatment usually diagnostic for Herptiformis Dermatitis (HD)?
Also, is it normal to get some minor itching even while on
Dapsone
? Although i have not had any full out flare-ups, I have occasionally experienced itchiness and still some sensitivity to seams and fabrics.

I have been on Dapsone for three weeks now, and felt enormous relief Immediately: no pain. Only problem is a slightly itchy scalp.
Will
Dapsone
eventually repair my scalp? Anyone else had this problem?

Newbie!
I am now on hydroxycholoquine, meloxicam, cimetidine, amitriptyline,
dapsone
and propranalol as well as iron supplements. I truly rattle. Today, I feel so relieved.

About to have a brain MRI and full eye assessment before I start

Finally, an appointment with a leading authority on Dermatitis Herpetiformis!
My husband has been on 50mg
Dapsone
for about 1 yr & a half, he still suffers lethargy, tiredness & in spite of being on a strict GF diet still has outbreaks of blisters from time to time. Dr Porter recommended halving the
Dapsone
to see how it goes.

What is your experience of Dapsone?
He now wants to put me on
Dapsone
- but has warned it could make me very ill! Has anyone had any negative experiences with
Dapsone
please. He said the other options are more likely to make me vulnerable to cancer. I think I need to see a Vet sharpish!

Anyone else not impressed with NHS treatment of Dermatitis Herpetiformis diagnosis?
Off to collect my prescription of
Dapsone
, which needless to say the hospital chemist didn't have in so they had to send out for it... Ah well.

DH: It's all over me like a................rash?
I have been taking
Dapsone
for around 18 months now, so why, oh why, has this offending rash reared its ugly head again? I'm thinking along the lines of a misdiagnosis, but until proven otherwise I will happily go along with the DH theory.

How long did anyone with DH stay on Dapsone if that was the route they took?
It has been one year since my husband was diagnosed & put on
Dapsone
. One month ago he cut his dose down from 50mg to 25mg, unfortunately he has been itchy ever since & last night decided to go back to 50mg.

I had just had a month on
Dapsone
, and rash disappeared, stopped taking the drug on Dr's advice and within 3 days its back on knees and elbows despite having no gluten as far as i know.
