Does anyone with DH and on Dapsone and GF diet still get occasional rash outbreaks?

I'm not on dapsone though I shalll be asking for it when I go for my checkup this year because I've had my rash constantly now for 4 months and it's just not clearing up...it usually takes a couple of months to go. I've been so careful with my diet since my slip up in July. It's driving me crazy. Is the dapsone any good? My GP has given me some steroid cream which helps but I'm not keen on using it every day.

When I first started Dapsone it was amazing for clearing the rash and stopping the itch, it was heaven, it all vanished in a few days and the relief was immense! Unfortunately as with most good things there is a downside, there can be side effects and you need careful blood monitoring. A couple of days ago my Dermatologist doubled the dose as it clearly wasn't working as well anymore and again the rash is disappearing :).... I've only been gluten free and on Dapsone for about 5 months and doing my best to follow a GF diet but i have make mistakes, also I've heard it can take years for gluten to leave the body completely!...So yes Dapsone is great (for me anyway) but I recommend looking at the side effects so you can weigh up the possible consequences of using it.
