Introduction and Blog Post
After a few days of thinking "well, at least it wasn't the bladder cancer my dad had", a
cystoscopy
showed that yes, I also had bladder cancer. The bladder cancer was removed surgically via a TURBT procedure (no incision, they go in through what is normal an "exit only" and remove the tumor).

Flexible Cystoscopy & Periods :/
I have been booked in for a flexible
cystoscopy
to look for possible interstitial cystitis. However, it's the same week I am due my periods. What are the chances! :( Does anyone know if I can still go ahead with the procedure?

Can prostate still bleed after Radiation Treatments (HDRBT and IMRT)?
Appointment with a urologist specializing in bladder cancer is set for February 2nd,
cystoscopy
will probably not work due to stricture but hoping for a CXBladder test. First consultation may only result in scheduling tests and probably not much else. Thanks, AKSI

Could I be suffering from IBS?
I assumed I had interstitial cystitis, but now having done a
cystoscopy
, I’ve been told that my bladder is completely normal. Now I can only assume that it could be IBS. For a few months I was constipated, and even taking laxative twice a day and eating soft watery foods did not help.

Cystoscopy and hydrodistention
Has anyone had a cystoscope and hydrodistention (stretching of bladder) whilst under general anaesthetic? I have stage 4 endometriosis and now suffer with pain every day. I’m more terrified of the pelvic pain I’m going to experience afterwards as it’s sure to aggravate the surrounding areas than I am

Has something gone undetected?
I find it odd that that would cause so many issues but I also find it puzzling that neither a
cystoscopy
or MRI hasn’t been able to pick up anything. I was wandering if anyone had my thoughts? Sophie ☺️

Great news, I can stop taking Lupron
Six weeks ago I had another
cystoscopy
where the Urologist determined the condition inside of my bladder was sufficiently treated, so he decided to remove the stent.

Just Diagnosed with T4N1 Ductal Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate
During a
cystoscopy
the urologist observed what looked appeared to be string like growths in my ureter close to the neck of the bladder. Then along came COVID. After a wait of six months they performed a TURBT procedure and the pathology of the tissue confirmed a rare prostate cancer variant.

Non specific symptoms.
I know there are lots of types out there tho so wondering if it is not on the spectrum Question 2: doc indicated symptoms are non specific and need a
cystoscopy
. Any idea what these symptoms could indicate? Some rare std or tropical disease? Prostatis?

Pain following cystoscopy
Hi all, I was hoping you might be able to advise me on some pain that I have been dealing with, following a
cystoscopy
that I recently underwent on the 28 July. I underwent a flexible
cystoscopy
after suffering from some minor urinary symptoms since November 2019, following an injury.

Diagnosis of Hughes no longer relevant
After taking 2 or 3 jars of pure red blood with little urine, to the GP, I had a quick
Cystoscopy
on my bladder yesterday. The surgeon took quite a while to clear the frank display of blood before he actually saw (I assume) what was possibly the outside of my bladder and,NO SIGN OF CANCER!!!!!

ADT and Docetaxel worked for treating the Prostrate and Pelvic Mets, but 2 out of 3 ain't bad
I had a
cystoscopy
, ureter stent change, TURBT and biopsy 6 weeks ago, and tomorrow I go in for chemo shot #8. The plan is to have one more chemo shot, #9, then when my stent is due for a change in about 7 weeks, determine then during the
cystoscopy
the effectiveness of the 3 additional infusions.
