Rigid Cystoscopy procedure Without Being Assessed Before Procedure For Phimosis
She thought i had Prostatitis and penned me down for a rigid
cystoscopy
procedure. She never assessed me to see how severe my phimosis was, never was able to pull it back my entire life. Since the op ive bad a dramatic reduction in the size of penis, barely any erections.

Urology appointment - Flexible Cystoscopy
Hi all Has anyone been referred to urology for a flexi
cystoscopy
that turned out fine? I have been having symptoms since November and eventually the GP said it could be Endometriosis and put me on the mini pill and iron tablets (also have mild anemia).

Possible Problems With Bladder Cancer Treatment
My treatment now seems to be - Flexy
Cystoscopy
first - If anything is found then booked for admission to have tumour(s) removed. This is done with a procedure called TURBT and rigid
cystoscopy
. As a BTY - I am unsure if my BCG treatment has ended, or have I one more go.

I got a call saying I could go into local hospital for my flexy
cystoscopy
There is a 25 mile difference. My last rigid
cystoscopy
showed that 5 out of 6 biopsies was low grade, hence the flexy
cystoscopy
..

Not much suspected endometriosis doesn’t need surgery?
He offered to refer me to a uro gynaecologist if we wanted and said if she saw me and then wanted to do a
cystoscopy
, he’d then work with her and do a laparoscopy at the same time.

Bladder issues
I’ve had a
cystoscopy
and seen the damaged blood vessels and was told by the urologist they was no effective treatment available but that I am at an increased risk of a secondary cancer from the radiation so perhaps should have a
cystoscopy
every 2 years.

Cystoscopy
was clear, no uti. Has anyone ever had this experience? Constant urge to pee and lightning bolts every few minutes shooting down my urethra. Doctors said it will go away after baby is born but I’m worried a vaginal birth may permanently damage the nerves.

A bit of an update...
The last specialist who did a
cystoscopy
and 2 cat scans has alluded to my kidneys not filtering properly. I do have protein in my urine also and have had for years and was diagnosed with kidney disease but then my doctor retired.

Pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction.
I'm currently on the waiting list for a
Cystoscopy
and I've requested an MRI of my penis. Any advice would be appreciated. Any other scans or tests I should put forward to my urologist?

I’ve now been referred to a urologist and may have a
cystoscopy
. Does anyone know why you could have blood in the wee on a dipstick test but nothing wrong on scans ? The only other thing is I have polycystic ovaries and don’t get regular periods. Thank you

The Urologist who was carrying out a
cystoscopy
to check all was ok in my bladder told me he would need to refer me to have the stones removed. He led me to believe this was a simple keyhole/laser operation. I thought the stones would be blasted and all would be ok.

Update, small cell
Whilst checking this they did a pet/ct scan which has detected activity in his prostate There has been talk about another subtype due to PSA being undetectable So more tests, starting with
cystoscopy
. Feeling very frightened and in new territory as this isn't a type I know or understand.

My Latest Bladder Cancer Update.
To go back to the letter it said please come for BCG Treament on 29th May and in the spot reserved for conditions, it simple said No Cancer was found in my bladder after the flexy
cystoscopy
. So nothing had grown from original cells in December. 2023.

A Bladder Cancer Update.
Whichever a Flexy
Cystoscopy
was what I was diagnosed with, it much thinner and no spinal anaesthetic will be needed, just a local applied. I also can go home after it, a much smaller procedure than the rigid
cystoscopy
- It's to look in the bladder and maybe if needed, it can take a biopsy.

Within the space of the year I have had my laparoscopy, cancer referral colonoscopy,
cystoscopy
and had to visit A&E twice for my infection.

My Bladder Cancer Update.
My latest flexy
cystoscopy
showed I had no tumour in my bladder, backing up what was said in Autumn 2023 and that was a complete turn-around. Seems my BCG has worked in as far as there si no tumour growth. I still have cancer cells because I have cancer in situ (CIS) but at moment is low grade.

Anti thyroglobulin Antibody High
Have had an endoscopy( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a
cystoscopy
which was clear as I have an enlarged prostate but normal psa levels. I got bloods done privately which show I have elevated anti thyroglobulin antibody's.

Second CT Scan with contrast
He told me I needed a
cystoscopy
which although very anxious I did have done. He did not think the blood was coming from my bladder and found no tumours. So he has now ordered a second abdominal/pelvic CT scan with contrast which is tomorrow afternoon.
