Has anyone had a biopsy taken of their bladder?
I was referred to the urologist to have a flexible
cystoscopy
done under local anaesthetic. The Urologist found inflammation in my bladder and now wants to carry out a rigid
cystoscopy
under general anaesthetic and take a biopsy. Has anyone else had this done? Samantha x

Does anyone know if you can be given a diagnosis of IC without mast cells being present in the bladder, my GP thinks it is possible?
Urodynamic and
cystoscopy
revealed slow flow of urine, trabeculation of the bladder lining and petechial haemorrhages. I was not diagnosed with IC due to no mast cells being present.

My Story
I underwent a
cystoscopy
over a month ago and have already had two infections, so clearly that didn't work.

Anyone had a cystoscopy?
Please wish me luck tomorrow - I am having a
cystoscopy
- to investigate persistent non-visible haematuria. Supposed to be 'just' a 5 minute procedure, but I have to have antibiotic cover and we all know nothing is straightforward when you have lupus!!!
