First mammogram since diagnosis, question??
Afternoon ladies. Tomorrow is my first mammogram since diagnosis and mastectomy etc...(obviously only on my remaining boob). I am wondering whether i will be given the result of this on the same day or do i have an agonising wait, hoping not. Looking for anyone to share their experience with this, thank

Post mx - pain....sensations....
Hello ladies! Well I was a bit optimistic with my previous post! I am now 7 days post mastectomy and as the days have gone by the 'feelings' shall we say in my arm and chest have certainly returned & increased, both in intensity and in area covered. I read it's normal to have numbness, tingling, sharp

Just Diagnosed with breast cancer
Hello dear women who struggle with breast cancer. I am new to all of this as I was just diagnosed two days ago with Breast Cancer after biopsy. I'm not sure what stage I'm at, the doctor thinks stage zero. I go in Tuesday to talk about options for a full or partial mastectomy. Any advice on nutrition

Post Mastectomy Op - no pain!
Good morning. I am in my hospital bed having had a mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy yesterday afternoon. Walked to theatre at 1pm, came round about 3.20 and was given some morphine. Felt rough as - well, the worst I have ever felt while awake, not going to lie to you - for few hours after. Vision

Triple Negative
I am a 3 year survivor of triple negative breast cancer ,with a right breast mastectomy .I now have fibromyalgia and arthritis in all my joints. It's a daily struggle to get up and get my daughter going but I push through it daily , some days the bed wins. I find its great to have someone to talk

I Did It !!!
Nearly 12 months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and 11 months ago had a mastectomy. Getting in touch with my mortality was a bit of a shocker, but I was determined to be as healthy as possible to ward off any recurrence of the dreaded C. First step was going to the gym more regularly, and then

Our story
I am a 34 year old wife and mother My family and I have been through a world wind of events to say I’m grateful we are together would be a gross understatement. This is my story, the one God gave me to share, but it wouldn’t be complete without first telling you ourstory. On our 4th wedding anniversary

MBC to lungs
I was initially dx in 2005 PR/ER+ HER- I had no lymph node involvement, right breast mastectomy, 4 rounds of chemo & 32 radiation. 11 glorious years of remission. Developed a cough last June 2015 and asked 3 different doctors if it could be bc in my lungs. All 3 said probably not since I'd been in remission

Reconstructive surgery vs masectomy
I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in Feb 2016. I'm 52. I had a mastectomy, 6 chemo treatments followed by 16 radiation treatments. I finished everything Sept 16th. I'm recovering a little every day but my stamina is just not there and doesn't seem to be getting any better. I walk for 75 minutes

what a pain!
Has anyone else experienced really awful pain even years after surgery? I had a mastectomy, node clearance and then a reconstruction between 2012 and 2013

Need support
I am stage IV metastatic Breast Cancer. Double mastectomy. Currently on aromatase inhibitors and pain meds. The cancer has spread to my bones, primarily my spine where it has fractured my vertabrea. I am mostly bedfast because of the pain and so I don't break more bones. Looking for support.

New journey. Feeling overwhelmed.
Hello all. I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in October. I have had 2 partial mastectomys. Unfortunately pathology came back on both with positive margin. My specialist said that it is now recommended that I have a full mastectomy. This is the scariest thing to ever happen to me and I am

Mastectomy on avastin
Hi guys, I am brca 1 and have decided to have a bilateral mastectomy as prevention to ever getting breast cancer. I am on avastin only after my chemo for oc stage 3c. I have just read that while on avastin the healing process takes longer. It's made me wonder if they will go ahead with this operation
