Decision: Should I Do Radiation?
I had my first visit with the radiation oncologist yesterday and he’s leaving it up to me to decide if I want to undergo radiation. He said that there’s no data to show that I would receive anything but a slight benefit, and the risks would be small, so it’s a toss-up (but of course he would recommend

Hashimotos??
You may need to make yourself a drink and get yourself comfortable... I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism Dec 13 and put on 75mg levothyroxine. Since then every blood test my TSH has been out of range and levothyroxine increased by 25mg till I got to 175mg in January 2017 when I was referred to endocrinologist

Need information about cost and survival rate for HER 2 positive breast cancer (ER/PR both negative)
My mother had infiltrating ductal carcinoma. Her ER and PR both are negative. But HER2 positive. She had right breast lumpectomy on 5th August,2017. She also had Mastectomy with axillary clearance (8lymph nodes removed) after the biopsy of lumpectomy showed invasive ductal carcinoma. Mastectomy was done

Why a growing number of women with breast cancer are choosing double mastectomy
Interesting article below from STAT news. Thoughts? "Three years ago, Crystal Collum was 37 years old with three kids at home, “kind of just trucking through life” in Columbia, S.C., when she felt a lump on her breast while showering. She didn’t hesitate — she’d watched her best friend go through breast
