Hypo, HRT and weight gain?
Hi. Have people who are hypo and use HRT gained weight since starting it? Everything I read re HRT, claims it can cause weight gain, which to a Hypo/Hashi sufferer, this is the last thing you want to hear. What have been people's experience? Thanks, appreciate it.

Annual NHS Blood Test
Hi, Iāve just had my annual thyroid blood test and I am absolutely speechlessā¦ā¦ When I checked my results it showed that the NHS test only checked my TSH, the NHS didn't even check my T4 as the standard annual check. We have no chance of them completing a full thyroid blood test. Luckily for me

Levothyroxine side effects
I have been on 150mcg levothyroxine constant since January 1st this year. Around the 20th February I started with shortness of breath and irregular heart beats which have continued daily and my t4 and tsh have gradually got better to where last weeks blood test show they are now within range. I am adamant

Both ovaries out or not?
Hi, its me again! So ive read my notes from my MDT meeting and noticed they want to take both my ovaries out when they do my hysterectomy and endo excision. One has a big endometrioma on it and as of last year the scan showed the other was healthy. My question is do I agree to them both coming out and

Dienogest withdrawal
Hi everyone,I could really do with some advice as I'm really struggling and don't know what to do. I've been in treatment for just over a year and my endo is shrinking nicely . I had Zoladex injections for 10 months with hrt. I struggled with the side effects and to find an hrt that didn't make me bleed

Update on my daughter's GP call today. So angry.
I'm so angry but not surprised. I didn't expect much tbh. My daughters last Vitamin results from 2022 were B12 290, Ferritin 24, folate 9.2 & Vit D 39. She been on thyroxine since a teenager now in her 40's. TSH levels fluctuating all over the place for past 6 years. Well the GP called today

Would an iodine supplement help?
I still don't feel well (very tired and the most dreadful brain fog which has stopped me driving) and wondered how I would know if an iodine supplement might help? Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Latest Medichecks results - stopped taking b12 liquid 2 weeks before test. Taking Spatone, VitaminD

Looking for IVF experienced Endocrinologist
Hi lovely people, After my 6th unsuccessful transfer and 3rd with donor embryos, I have decided to include an endocrinologist who can help maintain Thyroid levels before and during transfer. In the last cycle despite increasing the dose of Levothyroxine, my TSH jumped from 2.4 to 3.4 on day of transfer

Many Nodules on your thyroid? under/over?
Hi there, Sorry for the posts but my endo is basically no help at all!!! This is only place I can get any answers. I am still waiting on a result for my dominate nodule biopsy . which was 1.9in size . In the meantime, I'm just wondering as they said I had quite a few nodules on my thyroid

Is the end in sight???
Hi everyone, this is my first post and reading others seems I am in the right place to discuss these issues with others who know exactly what I am going through. Others, even close friends, I think at times just dont get it... From what I read others too have had a long long road to diagnosis and treatment

what to try next?
Hi everyone :) I don't think I've posted before, probably because as awful as endo is, I've been lucky in a lot of ways. . I was diagnosed via laparoscopy in 2015, and I live in a city with an accredited endo centre, so my surgeon knew what he was doing. He found and excised a few spots in various places

Accuracy doubtful due to fusion hardware?
L5/S1 hardware new since last dexa scan. The tech did ask for an opinion from a co-worker as she felt the imaging was being distorted due to the hardware, but was told it would not impact the readings. take hrt, d3/k2 and am active! Any thoughts?
