Are there any Life and Health Insurance providers for people with heart conditions?
Hi everyone 🙏🏽 So I had a heart attack when a little over 10 years ago now. It was not a big one and thankfully the great people at St George's Hospital picked this up and saved me by inserting 1 stent. The question I have is regarding life and health insurance. Can anyone recommend any Insurers

Advise on bypass surgery
Ive not been on this site before. Has anyone had a cardiac myxoma? I was sent for a Echocardiogram and because of results was not allowed to go home. I had bypass surgery to remove a tumour the size of an egg. I've been left with palpitations and a fast heart rate. My after care has been terrible.

Cardiac Rehab appointment
Hi all, I’m very grateful to have an appointment with the Cardiac Rehab team tomorrow afternoon. I have no idea what to expect, other than knowing I may be asked to ride a bike on an angle of some sort. I spoke to a friend of a friend who has had an appointment like this. She said the staff give you

Recuperation
Hi I had a qaudruple heart bypass on 03 December 2021, it's now almost twelve weeks since the surgery and I feel fit and well. I walk regularly between 12,000 to 15,000 steps each day. I'd like to start playing double tennis again, but I'm a little concerned how it might affect my sternum. Is there

Massive cardiac arrest 24th March
As the title says, CA 24 March, ambulance was already with me, have no memory of events, but told CPR/shocked, taken to hospital, emergency surgery, 3 days ITU. Previous HA 13 years ago, 1 stent. Have had one more stent fitted, and another artery 'optimised' as on a further angiogram they couldn't get

Raised blood pressure
BP had been stable for 18 months after HA. I’m on low dose candesartan 4mg . My blood pressure started rising slowly then I began to feel unwell so doctor had increased candesartan to 8mg and BP has stabilised again. What makes BP increase I have not done anything different? Could it be arteries becoming

Raised alt liver function blood test
Hi has anyone had a raised alt level on liver function blood test? I had a mild HA in October with 1 stent. Have you found it has been to do with the statin? I've never drank or smoked.

Safe to take supplements?
Hi, With all the meds I'm taking in first year after triple CABG is it safe to take supplements (namely Vitamin D / zinc in winter months)? Or will I be overwhelming my liver? Thanks

Sternum Clicking post CABG
I am experiencing Sternum Clicking post CABG. Now 4 weeks since surgery and I’ve had minor clicking for about 2-weeks. Like 4-6 clicks or pops per day, mostly later in the day when I’m tired. Have you experienced this and how long does it take to heal? Thanks so much. It’s a bit disturbing 🙃

Hi all Well what a week that was had a ERCP on the transplanted liver graft , which I received pre covid thank goodness in March 2019 So had a stent put in on a narrowed bile duct and to say it hurt is an understatement, they sedated me but the pain was almost unbearable to a degree that I nearly had

I’ve been reading the posts about vitamin b12 and restenosis. I’m looking for good recent research but can’t find any. Anyone got a link?
I’m on b12 injections. I’ve been on a PPI long term which can reduce your absorption of b12. I have 1 stent now and so far have continued with the injections. I’ve seen a 2004 report and read it’s controversial. This report didn’t look at b12 supplements alone. Any suggestions about where to get some
