I have always had a HRM on my bike which senses heart rate from my chest band. However, since my bypass there is no signal being received. Is this a thing after heart surgery?!

Didn’t know they inserted batteries when doing a bypass, scared to ask where 😳
Tried numerous new batteries. Even bought a new monitor. Still can't get any reading. 🤔
