I was treated as an ACS 10 weeks ago, and had a stent inserted as a result of ' moderate /severe mid - LAD lesion'. Everything else was normal and no damage to the heart muscle. I was also diagnosed as 'possible late presentation of takotsubo cardiomyopathy '.I have been recovering quite well with less

That's been a good dayđ
It's 16 weeks since my HA and angioplasty, today I had a follow up appointment with the cardiologist at Scarborough Hospital. I was well impressed, my appointment was scheduled for 9.00am, I arrived 15 minutes early....before 9.00am I'd had my BP taken, been weighed and had an ECG. Just after 9.00am

Angina?
If I exert myself (eg spend 1 or 2 hours gardening) maybe 2 hours after I stop I start to get slight chest pains palpitations I feel sick and unsteady gtn helps somewhat I had a STEMI 14 months ago. I had an angioplasty they could not fit stents because the artery was too wide. So they cleared the clot

Peripheral arterial disease-angioplasty?
Hi all, My gran is 97 she's got peripheral arterial disease-no diabetes but had a stroke last year and obviously is very elderly and developed PAD a few months ago. She's in a lot of pain and has ulcers on her leg and swelling. I'm not sure if she has chronic limb threatening ischemia (CLTI/CLI) as I'm

LAD Artery
So it transpires that my 90% blockage that was treated with a stent on Friday was in my LAD artery! Otherwise known as the âwidow makerâ. Well thatâs instilled fear within me straight away. My cardiologist only verbalised during the angiogram that one of my arteries was 90% blocked so needed angioplasty

Post stent feelings
Hi all, first post, and not sure if many will see it, or reply. Anyway, around a month ago after suffering chest pains when exercising, I was told I had exertional angina, was given the wee spray, which helped However, a few weeks later, I was starting to have chest pains when doing nothing strenuous

Ramipril titration.
Hi been on Ramipril 5mg for 8 years or so and six months ago noticed blood pressure was in the 150/70ish mark. Contacted cardiologist for advice and he just said up your dose to 10mg once daily. Blood pressure in the morning first thing is still around 140/70ish but drops during the day to 112-120 ish

I am 49 and earlier this year I was suffering with bad heart burn (have a history of gastric issues), which the GPs tried treating with various prazoles ending up with me on Pantoprazole. After talking to one of the GPs (never got to speak to the same one twice!

Raised Bilirubin level
Dear Hearties, I had a heart attack 3 years ago. I was fitted with a stent and I am taking a cocktail of medicines after that. They are Atrostatin 80mg, Losartan and Bisoprolol. I have been told by GP that my bilirubin is high. Is this could side effect of the above drugs? I also use Paracetamol 2 tablets
