Dear Pots11

Hello and a warm welcome from me as well.

What a great first post you have presented us, and what an inspiring outlook to life you have.

You seem to be taking everything in your stride and coping well, it’s a pleasure to hear from you and hopefully hear the rest of your journey as time goes on.

Most things that you have gone through or about to go through, there is someone { if not a lot more } that have been down that track.

I hope this forum can help you as much as it has me.

Take care

Hi Pots11 and welcome to the forum. Looks like you have good support and will no doubt go down the route of cardiac rehab followed by your own exercise programme to keep fit and manage your condition. It's good to get back to your normal exercise routines as soon as you feel able and cardiac rehab advice will help you find the right level. My incident was over 8 years ago, then aged 64, leaving me with 3 stents and diagnosed with heart failure. I regularly do 12 mile hikes with the local Ramblers group, 64 lengths of the local 25M pool twice a week and a gym exercise programme to maintain muscle strength. You should find your 'new you' once you get used to the medication and back to exercising. Good luck.

Well good luck pots11 you do get used to it and most of the time lead a normal life. Better to know you’ve got a bit of a problem than not, then just be aware of your limitations 👍
