Employee rights during IVF
So I’m really lucky that my employer is being very understanding about my upcoming IVF treatment however, my husband’s employer is not. I don’t expect him to come to all of my appointments but there are some where I would like him there. Obviously there will be one where he’s definitely needed! His

When did you get excited?
So after a year of no IVF and going down the adoption route, we’ve found ourselves with a spontaneous pregnancy. Every time I’ve gone in for my scan I think it’s the last. We’re now 11 +4 and our NIPT test has come back as normal. When did you get excited about pregnancy? We’ve hardly told anyone

8dp5dt
Hey everyone,First round of IVF and in the TWW, I know your not supposed to but for too impatient and tested. Currently 8dp5dt. Part of the reason for early testing is so many people online seem to get bfp as early as 5 days! This is a 6 early detection clear blue, faintest blue line ever, turned up

Heading for round three after two miscarriages. Success stories needed please
Hello there, So after two rounds of IVF and two miscarriages, we are going in for round three. Whilst we do not want to give up, it's hard to believe that this time will be any different. Anyone with a similar story that got to have a happy ending? Thanks! A

Embryo banking (+low AMH) - recommendations
Hello, I’m undergoing treatment because I have a luteal phase defect and low AMH (6.2 at age 33) and I’m about to move from on medicated cycles to IVF. Given my low AMH, I plan to do a few embryo banking cycles + PGT-A testing before transfers. I’m currently based on Surrey and my closest clinic is

Measuring slightly behind
Just after some reassurance! We had our ivf viability scan and we measured exactly 8w1d which was spot on with our transfer dates! We've been for a private scan today as I'm a worrier & I should be 9w5d however she had 3 dates come up when measuring 9&1 9&2 and 9&3, she said I was 9&1 so I'm now just

How to deal with insensitive friends?
Hi everyone. I’m feeling really upset with some of my friends at the moment. I’m having IVF as a single person, so my friends are my support network. I’m so confused that these people who I love very dearly and have known for decades just really don’t seem to have any idea of what NOT to say. This is

Success stories with a day 5 2BB embryo or day 6 embryos please?
Hello All I’m 10dp5dt and very sadly got a BFN this morning. It was a FET 2BB embryo. Since our gorgeous son was born via IVF in 2019, we seem to have had really bad luck with the frosties that we had left (1 MC at 9 weeks, 1 BFN as the clinic transferred the embryo too late, 1 totally heartbreaking

Successful pregnancy after a laparoscopy?
Has anyone had a successful pregnancy following a laparoscopy for a diagnosis and treatment for tubal issues? My blood test suggested past infection to Chlamydia and hence I am having a laparoscopy next week as suggested by my consultant. I couldn't be offered a HSG or HyCoSy as the clinic I was referred

Creation of embryo using own eggs aged 44??
I just had my first ivf consultation Thursday and despite having amazing egg reserve ( AMH 18.3) and the consultant counting 20 follicles he said our best chance is donor egg due to downs and Edwards killing my last two babies ( Our first baby wasn't tested). We have no children and have lost 3 in a

Preconception Thyrotropin Levels and Thyroid Function at Early Gestation in Women With Hashimoto Thyroiditis
Of course, research is necessary. We can all make lots of assumptions, guesses, which turn out to be entirely wrong. But this paper does seem to endorse what many here have said. If you are going to become pregnant, that itself will tend to raise TSH levels. If you want to keep below any chosen TSH

Final Fresh Round… Any tips for low fertilisation?
Hi all, My partner and I have had x2 fresh rounds of IVF, both resulting in only one embryo due to low fertilisation (poor sperm quality and poor egg quality being our unfortunate challenges). Our first round resulted in a pregnancy but we sadly ended up having a miscarriage as there was no heartbeat

Fallopian Tube Removal
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all keeping well. I’m having a laparoscopy at the end of July to have my Fallopian tubes removed or clipped in preparation for ivf treatment. Has anyone experienced this before and can share what to expect? I’ve had a laparoscopy before so not so concerned about that part

Ivf after laparoscopy
Hi, I'm starting ivf stims and had a laparoscopy for stage 4 endo about 6 weeks ago. I'm in so much pain but can't tell if it's the injections to stimulate the ovaries or if its 'just' my period and sore from surgery still. Hoping things get easier but I'm on 7th day of period and been in agony.

Treatment abroad - help please
Hi everyone, I haven’t posted on here for a while. My partner and I have decided to move on to egg donation due my age and low response to IVF with my own eggs. It’s been a difficult decision but I’m feeling hopeful. I’m using a clinic in Spain, Alicante, called Ur Vistahermosa. I’m in a bit of

Is mild IVF better?
Started IVF 1 year ago at age 37, diagnosed with both unexplained and DOR. We’ve been unable to conceive since we started trying at 32, fobbed off by every doctor in the US and UK for years because “you’re so young, just keep trying.” I’ve been embryo batching at CRGH since summer 2022, having done 6

Can anyone help please? I think I have run a natural conclusion with my clinic in London. I want to go abroad now for treatment and am looking at double donor. Can anyone recommend some clinics please? Has anyone been to IVF life, Instituto Bernabeu or IVF Barcelona? Would be grateful to know
