I am about to complete my radiotherapy treatment tomorrow and my RO has prescribed a further six months of hormone therapy, Tamoxifen and Bicalutamide. My PSA test last week showed that my PSA was undetectable 0.001 and my testosterone at 19.5. I just wondered if the further hormone treatment was usual?
Any help and advice much appreciated.

According to the following, adjuvant ADT is unnecessary when pre-SRT PSA is under 0.7. But some guys opt for a short couse anyway because it gives them more confidence. It's up to you
Hubs was advised against hormone therapy. PSA .3 post RALP, PSA 9.2 at diagnosis G7, T3a but he had positive margins. That probably doesn't answer your question.
If your PSA is Undetectable(0.01),why do ADT unless your PSA starts to Rise Up.I did ST.6 months ADT(Firmagon)while doing 40 Radiation Treatments. While the ADT was not that bad except for Hot Flashes starting in the 3rd Month/Weight Gain somewhat.I am undetectable now also,as my last injection was in Feb 2020.Isn't ADT gonna knock down your Testesterone to Zero.Maybe I'm missing something?
Take the advice of your RO, he has an MD after his name. None of those responding above have an MD, just personal experience or reliance on studies for their opinions. They are not medical professionals. Your RO is.
