No Benefit for Post-operative Radiotherapy in Non-small-cell Lung Cancer.
Post-operative radiotherapy (PORT) used in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) following complete resection and after (neo) adjuvant chemotherapy shows no statistically significant difference in 3-year disease-free survival (DFS), according to data presented at ESMO 2020. These results give

Proton Therapy after Robotics and PSA
Radiologist advised against proton radiation therapy because his last PSA was <.1. His oncologist thinks radiation is indicated unless <.05. What lab has PSA testing that is this precise? He was Stage 3 Prostate Cancer.

One Year Update & how much info do you share??
Hello - I first checked in here about 1 year ago, reporting a PSA of 13.8 in January 2019 [up from 4.2 in May 2016], followed by TRUS biopsy in February 2019, with results of 3 of 12 cores positive 1 @ 3+4 + 2 @ 3+3, with a further CT bone scan [negative for metastasis] & 3T MRI in April. Liver Damage after radiation?
Regarding my previous post, I just wonder why my husband’s oncologist should have ordered for a Liver MRI? Is it normal to do so or MRI usually given if the damage is intensive? I googled the purpose of MRI and I came across few terms such as liver cancer , hepatitis , cirrhosis and Lesions that could

External Beam Radiation Therapy for High Risk/Locally Advanced PCa: The Shifting Landscape
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkopU_7-qiI One of the interesting points was involving RT of prostate bed vs RT of prostate bed plus whole pelvic lymph nodes in lymph node positive patients --- no benefit and no over all survival benefit to RT lymph nodes... their trial results does not support radiating

Radiotherapy
Hi, I’m going for a MRI in the morning, it’s so the oncologist can see if it’s safe to carry out the radiotherapy. The choice has been left up to me if I want it. I asked my surgeon what he thought and he would say either way. I had a grade 2 atypical meningioma removed along with part of my skull

Free-PSA Ratio after Biochemical Recurrence
New study below [1]. Some might recall the use of the free-PSA ratio to cut down on unnecessary biopsies. "The risk of cancer increases if the free to total ratio is less than 25%" [2]. Does the ratio have prognostic value after biochemical recurrence? Apparently it may. "Posttreatment FPSAR>=0.10

Rather mixed and still left hanging in mid air. What was seen as suspicious, has after a conference, turned out to be fibrosis, scarring from the radiotherapy, so not cancer after all. Another CTScan has been ordered for 3 months time. A sigh of relief, but then he said "they have spotted something in

Can lung cancer treatment lead to heart problems?
I had two adana carcinoma lessions removed from my right lung and had radiotherapy on my left one, last September and November respectively. I have recently been told I now have heart failure due to these procedures which has caused the enormous amount of water retention I have experienced. Has anyone
