I was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in 2006. My treatments have included 2 rounds of chemotherapy, 3 rounds of radiotherapy to the pelvic area and many drugs too numerous too mention. I have just completed whole brain radiation due to the discovery of multiple metastatic lesions.
I am currently experiencing severe fatigue and loss of appetite. Would be interested in the experiences of others who have had a similar treatment.

Heavy irradiation anywhere in your body can cause loss of appetite. I would think full brain would be even more severe. A little case of the munchies from grass could help. Also just scarf on your favorite dessert just to get extra calories can help.
Just finished the same thing. Had mouth irritation and was prescribed miracle mouthwash which had lidocaine. Helped numb mouth while eating. Had 10 treatments over 10 business days. Lost ten pounds. Fatigue got me the last week. Tried to drink OJ and other fluids high in calories. Just keep fighting through it. Get your sleep!
