Colonoscopy done and dusted, nothing sinister, just a bit of diverticulitis. Just waiting for a March to come now and find if I had a stent as part of ORBITA trial. Hopefully can get myself on list to get my knee done now.

mri for the bowel
Hi Has anyone had a MRI of they bowel done? I am bit worried that I might need one as last colonoscopy they couldn’t get very far and said it’s too dangerous to try again due to being extremely long and floppy as specialist said never seen anything like it before. They run out of tube only third way

ongoing symptoms ..
Wednesday I had a colonoscopy to a reason of a positive FIT test of 184. Very relieved to find nothing sinister just my very sluggish and constipated bowels. Fast forward to this morning .. and the upper GI. Worst procedure ever, spent whole time gagging. However reason for pain etc was found in minutes

Intestinal upset (diarrhea, tiredness, slight nausea) from ferrous sulfate?
I suffer from PLM and had low ferritin. I've taken oral iron for some years to keep my ferritin above 100. I've read that one of the adverse effects of iron sulfate can be stomach/intestinal upset. I'm experiencing my 4th episode of intestinal upset in a month. At first I thought it might be food poisoning

Colonoscopy and persistent AF
Has anyone with persistent AF/ heart failure undergone a colonoscopy. I have been advised to have further investigation following the discovery of 'blood' and really nervous about having it done. The letter only came today - I have not responded yet - they may advise against it when they know my background

increase pred before a colonoscopy?
Your advice please. A bit of background info. I am now on 4mg having decreased from 60mg 3 years ago. It has been a very gradual process and since around 7mg I had the deathly fatigue of adrenal insufficiency. A bit better now (but PMR will not allow me to reduce further. I haven't had a colonoscopy

Possible ET but triple negative
Ive been reading posts on this forum having been sent to haematologist as have high platelet levels. Consultant was quite sure a blood test would come back positive for one of the genetic markers but it didnt. So ive had a ct scan, a gastroscopy and colonoscopy but nonee of those showed anything that

Iron Levels with CLL
Ive been having issues with low iron and as a result I'm on/off iron supplements. I also started taking acalabrutinib in May. I see a local doctor who didn't seem too concerned and I also see a doc in Cincinnati that says low iron is not normal with CLL/acalabrutinib, so he wants me to have an upper

Advice on a lower GI investigation with a swallowed camera as a hospital in-patient.
I gave up Tocilizumab /Actemra early because of lower abdominal pain and diahorrea about a year ago. My Colonoscopy showed diverticulosis and polyps which were removed. The pain etc has continued. I have been phoned by our local hospital to come in to hospital to prepare for the procedure that involves

Unexpected A&E visit
After being mainly angina free since August last year had a horrible episode today which 3 doses of nitrate spray didn't resolve. Phoned my orbita trial doc at basildon to ask for advice. Upshot be advised my to go to A&E and liased with cardio docs at broomfield. Pretty seamless experience after bloods

Need a rant. I am beyond fed up. I could do with some suggestions and a shoulder to cry on..
I have suffered from IBS flare-ups for as long as I can remember, but not like this one. I have now been severely constipated for over a year. I think it all kicked off and the end of 2021 when I was extremely stressed. Obviously the longer this goes on the more stressed and anxious I become. The

Swelling, pain and cramp in left side of abdomen
My husband has been having extreme pain across the middle of his back.I have noticed a large lump in his abdomen on the left side. He is having discomfort there and cramps. Our gp examined him a couple of weeks ago and suspects inflammation in his lower spine. He had a lumbar x-ray last week . I am worried

Very low iron at same time as previously controlled rheumatoid arthritis is now very much out of control.
I've been diagnosed with RA and Lupus for over 35 years. I went through most of the known drugs over many years before being accepted on Enbrel which was amazing and gave me back a quality of life I never thought I regain. However I was switched to Benopali under the assumption it was the same generic

Colonography?
It’s just over 9 years since my successful extended right hemicolectomy surgery. At the 5 year appt with my colerectal nurse she suggested I might consider a scan in January this year. Which is now! It is mainly for reassurance as I get very anxious. I’ve not had any symptoms since surgery and the decision

comprehensive stool tests
Has anyone done one of these? I have pretty much exhausted all tests etc via my NHS gastroenterologist. I have had a colonoscopy, a gastroscope, a pill camera endoscopy, various ultrasound sound scans and a ct scan. I’ve been tested for coeliac disease, h pylori and had biopsies from the gastroscope
