CEA's normal
My CEA's are well within normal ranges; however, during a routine check up, a 2 cm place was found on my right upper lobe. Last year I underwent a total colectomy due to colon cancer. My oncologist has scheduled a PET scan, my question is.... is he being overly cautious? I have no symptoms. I really

@ 2 hours old and illeal conduit at age 2. I usually get along just fine with ostomies. No social problems, and never held back by them, just rerouted plumbing to me. I know nothing different. My biggest difficulties arise with health care professionals.

I went to see my Oncologist this week to see if I could continue Chemo following my recent
colostomy
. As I am clear cell she suggested I my be suitable for the Nintedanib (NiCCC) trial. I am going back to see my Oncologist next week to discuss further. Has anyone been on this trial? Ann xxx

Interstitial Cystitis and Endometriosis
My problem is that I had a
colostomy
bag and have had in the region on 50 operations on my bladder, bowels and ovaries and they say there is far too much scar tissue to do a laparoscopy. I have been seeing a gynaecologist about the painful ovarian cysts I have been getting.

Newbie and Panicking!
Secondly I'm worried as they said I could need a
colostomy
bag. We discussed leaving the bowel endo and judy dealing with all the other bits at this stage... but is that sensible or will it spread more. A friend who had endo said by having surgery made hers grow back quicker and to leave it be ?

First of all, my Intro/condition/current status

They discovered stage 4 endometriosis, I have been told the cyst is attached to my bowel and it is going to be major surgery to get to it with the risk of a
colostomy
, the other option I have is too be given injections to put me straight into the menopause. Actually don't fancy any of it!

Severe bowel endo
My next surgery will be for treatment and a
colostomy
has been discussed. Is this common or worse case scenario as I'm petrified that I'll have to have one. My bowel problems are getting a lot worse which isn't filling me with much hope x

Should I get hysterectomy/ part of bowel removed? Is it worth it??
The likelihood is that this will involve a temporary
colostomy
bag. I was put on the waiting list for the wrong operation (!) but am finally due to get it in the August/September. I had an appt with the
colostomy
nurse last week and am having major doubts.

The life after chemo isn't what I thought it would be.
Got upcoming surgery in ten days to remove my
colostomy
bag. Very scared about it too. But this state of depression is not what I was expecting.Everone seems to think my battle is over. And the few friends that I still have...well they are not the same or maybe it's me.
