Follow-on post, lung cancer
Further to my first post (4 minutes ago!) I just realized a couple of things I meant to ask - but i can't figure out if I can edit the previous post. The CT scan indicates it is confined to the right lung, but how accurate are they? I'm scared it might actually have spread, though the report said the

Ways to cope with diagnosis of lung cancer?
Hi. I'm new to this site, and to this situation I find myself in. I have been being treated by my GP for the last two months for a chest infection. Two chest X-rays (Six weeks apart) and three sets of antibiotics later (one I had to stop because of side effects, third started to make a difference on

Trying to overlook negativity
Hi there, This is mainly a personal venting session, but it sort of left an uneasy feeling for me. However, I had been chatting on and off recently with a pretty optimistic

Anniversaries, Cancerversaries, and Milestones of Lung Cancer Treatment and Survivorship
I opened my 13th bottle of Tagrisso last weekend, marking a full year of treatment with this very new T790M and EGFR inhibitor. It’s been a great year, full of love and adventures. I feel like celebrating, even though celebrating a milestone with a lung cancer treatment may not be everyone’s idea of

Terrified, Coughing up Blood
I have been reading some of the posts on this forum, I think you are all incredulously brave. So what's wrong with me? I seem to be in a very tight grip of fear since coughing up bright red blood 3 days ago, I also have pain in my chest too yet I am terrified to seek medical help. I can't stop crying

Any advice welcome..
Hello everyone I've been diagnosed with pluerisy, on steroids (predisolone 40mg) for 7 days, almost instant relief but then I checked out the side effects, not too sure now if I want to carry on taking them. The list goes on and on, getting more and more horrendous. I'm totally breathless, can't eat,

Staying positive and hopeful for my dad with small cell lung cancer
My dad was diagnosed June 2016, with small cell lung cancer. It started with a bad cough and a loss of voice , and after going to the hospital , we got some of the worst news of our lives.. it was lung cancer. This has been a very emotional, scary, nerve wracking journey, but my dad is doing everything

lung
which was left for over 6mths). Gp did not follow protocol for suspected cancer, saying he'd 'monitor' for 8mths. He didnt do a thing.
