Introducing myself
I was diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in May 2011. After two chemotherapy regimes and two radiation protocols, my cancer became metastatic. I used information obtained in online forums to get my tumor tissue tested for newer molecular markers and find a precision medicine

Does it seem like every conversation you have ends up being about your lung cancer? Is it the first thing you think about in the morning, the last thing you think about at night? Are your social media feeds one cancer related item after another? Do you wish sometimes that you could just live, and not

Good News Using Iressa
My friend was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in December 2016 and started Iressa in January 2017. She was put on Iressa after biopsy showed a gene mutation. At the 60 day mark we went in for update scan which showed main tumor in lung decreased in size by almost half. We were taking 250mg once

Now I'm scared!
Well... finally met with a lung specialist. He advised me that I have chronic emphysema and may want to get on a lung transplant list. After a long walk it was determined my oxygen saturation levels dropped to 55. So he put me on oxygen level 3 mostly when active or moving about. I was so overwhelmed

This community is such an amazing one! When my mom was diagnosed back in 2013, I was so shocked at how little awareness was out there, how few support groups, etc... Lung cancer was all new to me & I didn't have many people to turn to for support. Many didn't know what to say or hadn't experienced
