I was rushed in 3 months ago as I went into septic shock and placed straight in an induced coma for 10 days, my body went through so much , my
lung
collapsed
, my heart rate was 180 and my temp was sky high. Finally i had a tracheostomy fitted which saved my life and I came out the coma.

Lost my Mum to Lung Cancer in 2005, now my Dad has been diagnosed with the same
Feeling a little shell shocked this morning, my Dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer yesterday. We had suspected something was not right, and over the last few weeks he's been for various tests etc. Yesterday he received the results. His cancer is too advanced for Chemo. He was offered Radiotherapy, but

Re: Status of KRAS gene mutation research
I'm new to this group. Am a two year 4 month lung cancer survivor in remission from a small slow-growing BAC (now called NSCLC). At 9 mm x 7 mm tumor removed from lower left lobe by composite basilar segmentectomy. Genomic testing showed KRAS mutation, p.G12A. Even at stage 1aTN0, 40-45% chance of reocurrence

Share your story about "scanxiety"
If you have been living with lung cancer, you most likely have faced “scanxiety.” To say that waiting to have a scan done and then waiting for the results is “stressful” feels like a huge understatement. A scan result can mean that your cancer is smaller or has disappeared. Or a scan can mean that

MORE Updated DNA REPORTS
What can a lay person like myself interpret FROM jigsaw that is my DNA. There for I'am ... Doing my research i have found WHEN DNA error occurs you body try's to fix one error but that one fix leads to more. But how and why CONNECTED as eluded me. Take one of my inherited conditions or DNA mutations

And so it goes
Hi all, I started my clinical trial today and I found out I am the first patient to start this trial nation wide and the only patient in tennessee. When it's in full swing there will be just over a hundred participants . I have to admit letting them do radiation to my brain was the most uncomfortable

Small cell lung cancer patients with lupus and possible while brain radiotherapy
Hi all My mum was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and just finished her 4 cycles of chemo. Today we had a consultation to speak about radiotherapy but as she may have lupus ( tests keep coming back as positive and negative ) the consultant said that because small cell lung cancer usually spreads

Stage IV lung cancer CEA Marker
Husband had lung cancer in 2014, half lung removed. No chemo or radiation. Cancer came back Stage IV mestasis. He went through 26 radiation treatments, two different types of chemo, and is now on Obdiva since Dec. My question is, his CEA markers are steadily going up, is this normal? Any info would greatly
