Given clear ct scan but it wasn't true
I had a lobectomy last March, 20mm metastases after bowel cancer. Got follow up ct scans May 22 and August 22, told they were completely clear. Had ct scan Feb 23, told chest lymph nodes enlarged. Asked for copy of ct report and the lymph node issue was noted in the previous ct scan. I have at least

Poor immune system since lobectomy
Hi, I had a lower right lobectomy last January and despite recovering well - back in work 4 months after the opI am beginning to struggle. Every time I get an infection or cold my body seems to refuse to fight it like it used to, I’ve even had Bell’s palsy. My immune system feels like it is shot! My

Night spasms
I had bowel cancer in May last year and had a hemi-
colectomy
that was straight forward and needed no further treatment. Nine weeks after that operation I was told that they had found another cancer on the bowel they removed. This turned out to be Low grade serous ovarian cancer.

Immunotherapy
Having had a lobectomy a few years ago on right lung, I now have 2 opacities on lower left lung. As there had only been one lesion seen on lower left lung I was offered radiotherapy. After last scan which showed another lesion adjacent to the first, I am told that 'radiotherapy is off the table'. At

Hoarse voice after thyroid surgery
Hello - I am 28 years old and I had a diagnostic thyroid lobectomy (right side) 5 weeks ago, histology results found it was follicular thyroid carcinoma but thankfully MDT concluded it was non -invasive so no further treatment has been recommended at this time. My voice was very hoarse after the surgery

lobectomy top of r/lung
having lobectomy any day now. Tumour Stage 1, 2cm. Found on scan after bad fall. Nervous to say the least, anyone here had lobectomy? Am in NZ, care since finding tumour 8 January has been amazing. To say I’m glad I fell is an understatement! PETscan shows this tumour is only intruder 🙏🏻

Ongoing breathlessness and exhaustion
I am really hoping someone may have experienced the same symptoms as me and managed to get a diagnosis. Upper right lobectomy in June last year. Initially did very well and was approaching a good level of fitness. Since October/November I have experienced increasing breathlessness, absolute exhaustion

length of time for biopsy results
Hi, had a partial lung lobectomy and lymph node removal, was told biopsy results would be back in 7-10 days. It’s now been 41 days and I’ve heard nothing. When I contact various people I’m just being told this length of timeframe is not uncommon.. this does not sound right to me… Anyone else had to wait

solitary lung nodule. Experience or literature about thorascopic lobectomy, no biopsy yet?
my husband received a call from his pulmonologist Friday who reported on the tumor board. Please see profile. We were expecting to hear biopsy but were surprised to hear they were sending him directly to a surgeon for a lobectomy. They are scheduling a FDG PET. (but the last one was fine with radiologist

Biopsy Results
Even though I've commented on other posts, this is my first. In July I coughed up blood, saw the GP who organised a chest x-ray. The GP called me an hour after the x-ray to tell me I had a 6cm shadow on my right lung and it could be cancer. After meeting a respiratory consultant, I had CT scan, PET scan

concerning CT scan
This was my follow up scan - my MD (who I love) said that he wasn't concerned and the radiologist noted "
no change since last year's scan but recommended close follow up or biopsy
"! He was upset that he noted no change but then recommended close follow up or biopsy. He told me " You are fine
