A quick note about me: Dx at age 52 Jan 2020 with PSA at 170. Eventually got started on ADT in April 2020 with PSA at 300. Gleason 7 3+4. Extensive bone mets all over my skeleton , as well as a few Lymph nodes. I had minimal pain, mainly back ache, which I thought at the time was due to a back injury

Has anyone taken this medication. The medication has been approved since 1996 for movement disorder PD. IT is a anticholergics medication

Does anyone know the results for taking Cogentin stiffness?

Haldol works wonders for some people, yet it gave me a seizure like side effect and allergic reaction that I basically had to be stabbed with cogentin. If you aren't making progress, or are having bad side effects, research, talk to your current doctor, and get to know your pharmacist.

I started dialysis 4 weeks ago and I’m up to 4 hour treatments. At 3 hours the ms-contin was ok, at 4 hours it bleeds off all ms-contin and I end up in excruciating pain for about 36 hours before I get the chronic pain under control. Has anyone gone through this or have any recommendations on other drugs

Result: Complete body dystonia, a swollen tongue, seizure like eps where I needed to be stabbed with cogentin to calm my body that was the equivalent of a scene from the exorcism of Emily Rose. Gabapentin caused dizziness, drowsiness and confusion.

I have baclofen which helps some and recently found that the old drug cogentin, I had some from a previous health experience, eases it (try it out if you are suffering, can't hurt at this point!) I feel like it's getting worse.

I've worked my way through Symmetrel (Amantadine) and Cogentin (Benztropin Mesylate) and I used the Neupro patch successfully up until it was recalled in the US (2008). Right now I use a combination of long acting Requip (Ropinirol) and a transdermal Emsam (Selegeline) patch.
