Morning all you beautiful people. Well just a follow up on my last post. I saw my Respiratory specialist at the hospital Chest clinic on Wednesday last, and not sure how I feel at the moment, he has spoken to the doctors at Barts in London and they said I would not benefit from Lung reduction surgery

Has anyone been prescribed Fluoxetine for Raynaud's?
I have taken 4mg of Lacidipine for Raynaud's for several years. Nifedipine caused bad headaches so Lacidipine was prescribed instead. I don't get full blown 3 phase Raynaud's attacks these days but my fingers are often blue for long periods of time despite being in a warm environment and my feet suffer

Do You Know Your Pulse?
Your heartbeat is the most fundamental rhythm in your life, signalling the regular pumping of your heart as it propels blood carrying oxygen and nutrients to the rest of your body. We take the regular beating completely for granted, never giving it a second thought until the elegant control process

Does Flecainide Work for Persistent Afib
Hello. In February, I had a cardioversion after being in persistent afib for 5 months. While I was in NSR, I saw my cardiologist and he took me off of metoprolol and prescribed Ditilizem and Flecainide. Several days after I saw him, I went back into persistent afib, but had not yet started taking

Ammonia Level
Hello! I am writing to ask about ammonia level 104. My family member has cirrhosis and previous Hep C. Currently they are in the hospital due to elevated ammonia levels. When the ammonia level rises it causes extreme impairment and lethargy. Two weeks ago they had scan of liver and it came back nothing

Naproxen for fracture pain
I think I’ve had another fracture in lower back. GP referred me for urgent X-ray which takes 2 weeks. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen not doing much for pain and I’m extremely sore and stiff. Try to keep moving as sitting doesn’t do it any good at all. I’ve been prescribed Naproxen and Omeprazole and not

Hi there. I've had PMR/GCA for 10 years which once diagnosed was reasonably managed until 2018 when having tapered to 3.5 mgs, I was told to stop Pred within a fortnight by my rheumatologist who was confident it had gone. The resulting flare was worse even than the initial onset and after a good deal

Rash on leg
Hey everyone, As mentioned previously, my mum is awaiting radiotherapy and has decided to go ahead. She has had a horrendous cough now for nine weeks and had numerous courses of anti biotics, which cannot be great. She is currently taken her third course of cotrimoxazole, which have not done much. Has anyone been prescribed this and how did you get on with it? My husband had this prescribed to deal with a stubborn bacterial infection and took 2 x twice daily. He was given 2 months supply but after 6 weeks started to feel nauseous. Have now had to stop this medication and have a hospital follow
