High TPO but normal TSH?
Hi there, I am a normally fit and healthy 51 year old female but have been feeling quite unwell over the last 2 years with intermittent spells of fatigue, frequent headaches, facial pain/sinus issues, lowness in mood. I am on HRT but this has made no difference. I have a history of 'borderline' thyroid

Thyroid antibodies
I was going to purchase a self test and thought I'd include antibodies this time. Just out of curiosity to see if I still have any, having been on thyroid medication for many years now. I know NHS won't do this for me. But disappointed to find Monitor My Health only offer testing for TPO. Not helpful

First Post on Thyroid
Hi everyone Hope you are all well. I had a full thyroid panel in April 2021. My thyroid peroxidase antibody level came back as >1000 IU/ml. The rest of results were with range. T3,t4 and TSH. I was referred to a thyroid specialist who i had a telephone consultation with and diagnosed with hypothyroidism

New here, TSH 8.06 should I be pursuing GP for medication?
Hi there, Just looking for some advice from others who have had thyroid issues for longer than me. My GP first picked up abnormal TSH in July 2022 from a routine blood test. In July it was 4.81 miu/L, they retested in October at which point TSH was 7.05 miu/L, and the also did Thyroid peroxidase antibody

Optimum TPO level
Is there an optimum level that our TPO antibodies need to be at, when it's considered that our autoimmune reaction is not so high? At diagnosis over 4 years ago, my TPO level was 365. In March 2021, it was 121 and recently was 94. My functional doctor wants my level to come down further before prescribing

Likely failed FET - what are next steps?
I am 9DP5DT of a really good quality blastocyst that thawed well. I have tested on FRER this morning and awaiting beta results. Pretty sure this round we are out. I previously had a fresh transfer but bled very early due to the trigger I had for my egg collection. Before starting IVF, I had 3 x IUI that

Myo-inositol supplementation - if anyone tried for Hashimoto?
Just read the info that Myo-inositol regulates the levels of TSH and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), as well as insulin. It also reduces cholesterol. In the case of thyroid hormones, myo-inositol helps thyroid-hormone-producing cells become more efficient at building T4. Myo-inositol balances thyroid

Negative antibodies
I got my second TFT result today which was worse than my first (TSH 16, FT4 10.4 and now below range). I also for my TPO antibody result: Thyroid peroxidase antibody <28 iu/ml (range 0 - 60 iu/ml) What is going on here? I guess it isn't autoimmune?

Plasma Metabolomics Reveals Systemic Metabolic Alterations of Subclinical and Clinical Hypothyroidism
This paper does what I have long been waiting for. Takes some blood, just the serum, and do a comprehensive analysis of pretty much everything they can detect in that serum. The subjects were divided into Control, Subclinical Hypothyroid and Hypothyroid groups. They found clear differences

Hello, 33 year old male with goiter since he was about 20, had two ultrasounds, blood tests, tried many things: - Very good balance sheets: TSH within the optimal standards, T3 and T4 within the standards, lnferior Anti TPO - Perfect blood test for the rest (CRP etc...) - No hypothyroidism - No hyperthyroidism
