Autoimmune thyroiditis with lump in throat as first symptom and normal thyroid levels - medication necessary?
I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis last month after a neck and thyroid ultrasound. I went to the doctor initially as have had a constant lump in my throat since June andbwas worried about throat cancer (I am 44 and haven't smoked since my early 20s but my dad had throat cancer). This hasn't

Helpful GP
I’ve had hypothyroid symptoms for around 18 months or so but was being investigated for neurological causes, nothing found. Recently took a private test that showed slightly raised TSH and low but not under range T3 & T4. TPO & TGA positive. Took these to a routine wellness check and had bloods repeated

How quickly do thyroid levels change
Hi, I had blood tests done a few weeks ago and came back borderline hyperthyroidism, I’m wondering how quickly they can go back to normal? I have another blood test next week as the doctor said they can give false readings and I’ve not been given any meds. I have loads of symptoms that coincide with

TPO results
Hello, just got my TPO results 498 (0-34) so I think that means antibodies damaging my thyroid. Is that very high or normal with hyper moving to hypo? My results from last week were: TSH 0.02 (0.27-4.2) FT4 33 (11.1-22) FT3 10.7 (3.1-6.8) Thank you

How do my results look?
I posted a few weeks ago about some numbers I had and I've since had other tests, so I am just wondering what the forum think.
11:00 on July 17th ("basic" blood panel for conducted by Vitality/Livi + an added TRAb because of my high levels) -- blood drawn via vacutainer
* TRAb:
<2.9 iu/L

Subclinical Hypo but symptoms have returned - advice please
Hi, I’m just looking for advice on how to approach the GP (it’s a teaching practice so Drs are never the same). There is a family history of thyroid problems (hypothyroidism with an immediate blood relative) and numerous other autoimmune diseases. I started experiencing non-specific symptoms (

New results! 😮😮😮😁😁😁😁
Guess what?! As of right now, almost 5 weeks in, my tsh is 0.76! 😮😮😮 (0.45-5.33) how is that possible on 50mcg? I'm excited, nonetheless!! Free t4 is 0.95 (0.61-1.24)... didn't test t3, but I'll be happy to wait a few months on this dose with that tsh! Please advise. 😄 I'm shocked! 😁🤯 Not hashi's

Would love to hear levothyroxine initial/beginning treatment anecdotes! 😁
Looking to hear people's stories of their first few months on levothyroxine. I'm still going through a roller coaster of symptoms... and I'm a month in. Tell me how you felt, symptoms, comparisons to how you normally felt before, when you starting feeling more like yourself... more detailed the better

Iodine avidity in papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer is predicted by immunohistochemical and molecular work-up
In order for radio-iodine treatment to work, the radioactive iodine has to be taken into the target tissue. "Avidity" is how strong the uptake of iodine into the tissue is. The higher the avidity, the better at absorbing iodine, and the more likely the treatment is to be successful. Hence understanding

Very confused by blood test results - grateful for help please
Hi All, Further to my previous posts, I continue to be very unwell, with my main symptoms being severe fatigue and disabling cognitive symptoms. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I do also have a diagnosis of CFS/ME (for what that is worth) which has fluctuated in severity for the last 22 years

Latest results and changes to regime.
since my last post: Dropped my levo from 225 to 100. This by way of looking to reset the failures of the past 3 and half years. And at my last test my TSH was too low to register whilst my T4 was 22 so well above range. T3 not recorded. I have also reduced/monitored carb intake more so than previously

Blood Results ?autoimmune hypo
Hi I’ve been feeling unwell since October with increased fatigue, thinning hair, brittle snapping nails, constipation, headaches, muscle weakness, weight gain, joint pain, poor balance & vertigo. I saw the GP and had MRI head & spine. This showed multilevel degenerative osteoarthritis to the spine

unsure of what to make of new results from blood test for TPO
hi :) I’m new here. 2 years ago I was out on leveroxine 50 mg??? The small dose for hypothyroidism and it's not been changed. I think I’ve been forgotten about but I have a fear of drs in general. I had a blood test done recently with the nhs Exeter service and the: TSH is 65.4 the TPO is 296

Test interpretation please
Hi everyone, can I have some feedback on my Blue Horizons results please? (Off biotin for the recommended amount of time). The bloods were taken at 8:15am, my iron was ruined in the sampling, but I luckily have a couple of other NHS tests from the SAME day: Serum Folate 10.8 ug/L [3.0 - 14.4] Serum
