Post MI C25k Week 2 Run 1 ✅
So I was not intending to post every one of the re runs but as I'm sat here with a mug of tea well why not 😊To be honest I was intending to go a little earlier but somehow ended up in a bubble bath 🤣 My calves were aching a little from yesterday's 12657 steps walking ! So a nice relaxing bath before

Managing PVCs
Hi Three years ago I had an ablation for my long standing PAF. Touch wood, I’ve not had a full blown episode since. However over the last 12 months I have been getting an increasing amount of PVC episodes. These often last for two to three days and are really debilitating. Sleep is almost impossible

Newly diagnosed with CKD and preoccupied with what this means for the future
I understand that
CKD
is not reversible (can’t grow new new nephrons!). So, do I just continue to monitor creatine levels and urine for protein until reaches a threshold for dialysis, then I’m forever tied to home for PD or making sure there’s a HD center near by?

Adizem Slow Release and Flecainide
Does anyone take these 2 drugs for blood pressure and Afib? I was on one 50mg Flecainide at night but due to increased episodes my dose has been increased by my Consultant to 50g morning and night with a 100mg pip. He also prescribed me 120mg Adizem slow release which I have been taking in the morning

Question about CKD and having a colonoscopy
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with
CKD
Stage 2. I am also scheduled to have a colonoscopy in December. I am scared that the laxative solution and the phosphate enema that I have to take as part of preparing for the colonoscopy will damage my kidneys even more than they already are.

CBD - Swelling
My Mum was diagnosed with CBD almost 2 years ago although her symptoms started 6/7 years ago, she was first diagnosed with MND but the diagnosis was changed to CBD in 2021. My Mum is non verbal, fed through a food tube/peg and is wheelchair bound. In the last 4/5 months she has gained quite a bit of

Experiencing higher sleeping HRV after stopping Flecainide
I had a cryoboalloon ablation the end of January and was kept on 2x 50mg Flecainide during the blanking period. I had no AF during the blanking period and wore a Zio patch for 7 days just before the 3 months was over. At the appointment the APRN said my Zio came back clean, with no AF, very few ectopic

Pseudomonas Help!
I am going through a perfect storm with Pseudo, RA, AS and a leaking heart valve. This has reduced me to considerable breathlessness, fatigue, palpitations and disability. Has anyone had any treatment for pseudo? I cannot take floxacins as they exacerbate the AS and my lung specialist has never

GP insisting on using CRP & ESR as inflammatory markers...and managing to get a creatine kinase blood test ordered...legs are still an issue
Hello I was called in to my GP surgery yesterday, by one of the GPs, the letter indicating it was for a medication review. She's not one of the GPs I prefer to see, she can be a little vague etc. But we ended up going through my meds and she asked about steroids being on my repeat....I said that although

Very unusual for me blood test results. Any ideas of what would explain it?
For the first time ever, in the last three years since I had
CKD
, my GFR was way abobe 62. It was 69. And the Kreatin was in the normal range! In January it was 128 (normal here according to the result paper is 59-104). Now, it was 103.

Anyone with diagnosed dysautonomia as well as scleroderma?
Dysautonomisa seems to be recognised in North America as common in scleroderma, but not in UK. My symptoms of dizziness and breathlessness with low blood pressure seem to fit, and have been called hyperadrenergic. Is this familiar to anyone ?

Palpitations
I know about the risks of stroke when you have Afib, and I take Warfarin, but just out of interest, do ordinary palpitations, like PVCs and SVEs also present a risk ? Annie

Afib medications
I was diagnosed about half a year ago with Afib. I am trying to understand the medicines and their side effects better. I am currently on Amiodarone 200 mg and Metoprolol 50mg and have many unpleasant side effects. Need to get off these meds.
