Oromorph

Hi all. Has anyone had experience of using Oromorph? Doctors have prescribed this for my mum who has CBD because she has started constantly scratching/rubbing her right leg with her left leg and is crying in pain with it. The oromorph seems to be better than the Gabapentin but it’s making her very, very sleepy which is not like her. Just wondering therefore if anyone else has any advice about this? Many thanks.

I have no experience of CBD. But I take oramorph for RLS. My dose is 10mls which doesn't cause drowsiness. If your Mum is on a higher dose it could cause sleepiness.Does she have RLS?

Thank you. She is on 5ml and it is literally knocking her out: she does have RLS but also started constantly rubbing her left leg with her right and we don’t know why 😕

The thing with drugs is we all react differently. Opioids cause itching by the way.

This is true. We will just have to see if we can reduce mum’s dosage. Thanks for your reply.
