Growth Hormone
Hi, has anyone with a child/teen with
CKD
decided to give growth hormones to their child? How did you make that decision and at what age did you begin? Or did you decide against it? We are being pressured to do so for the happiness of our child but have time to decide.

Stages/Neph
At what stage
CKD
or eGFR were you sent to a Nephrologist? I was at 3a, right on the line 3b with eGFR 45. My GP failed me on all points.

just diagnosed with CKD stage 3.
hi all I have been on this sight for my husband who had prostate cancer and robotic prostatectomy 4 years ago. Due to very slight rise in PSA they did a Pet scan which showed kidney cancer, what a shock no symptoms at all, apparently until late stages there is no symptoms. Anyway he has had Nephrectomy

Can I improve or stop progression of CKD
I regularly see my nephrologist every 6 months for
CKD
and my Hematologist every 4 months for MGUS. And my primary about every 4 months. They all order blood and urine testing to monitor my progress and status. I watch YouTube videos of Nephrologists and Renal Dieticians.

What category of Intermediate Risk Am I?
I have
CKD
3b, and a solitary kidney. I am 6.5 years in remission from UTUC kidney cancer. A number of papers indicate that HT could be detrimental to my kidney. Those with FIR PCa could avoid HT with little risk.

SKIN CONDITION
I'm asking if anyone else on the forum has had similar skin problems and could it be related to our
CKD
. The dermatologist whom I saw for 15 years or more retired on medical leave. I've scheduled an appointment with a new dermatologist, but I just wondering if anyone has had similar problems.

How do I convince my husband?
Then I got
CKD
with some serious diet restrictions. I don't think he's ever taken it that seriously. To appease him I would continue to eat somewhat like him. ButI began cutting out most salt and putting the salt shaker on the table for him.

Hyperparathyroidism, PTH intact
If so, what is your level and what stage
CKD
are you and what treatment are you taking? What, if anything did you doctor say about it. My PTH has been rising. One article says it is because of
CKD
and another says it causes
CKD
.

FATIGUE
Has anyone with stage 4
ckd
been so fatigued that they could hardly put one foot in front of the other? Granted, I had some surgeries and other problems that rendered me quite sedentary, and being almost 77, I wonder if I haven’t acquired Sarcopenia, or if I’m just totally out of shape?

lisinopril
My GP, supported by my consultant has prescribed an Ace inhibitor Lisinopril as it is great benefit for
CKD
, even if you don’t have hypertension or diabetes. When I started on 10mg, 12 days ago, I felt so much better and had more energy, obviously due to better blood flow I believe.

I'm type 2D,
CKD
, IBS and been having mini strokes. Had all the medical intervention possible and still no answer. I certainly know what I don't have now, but I only want to know what I do have! Still taking blood thinners and Omeprazole with prescription multi vitamins. I'm low in B12 and D3.
