GFR 58

Would like any advice opinions please, waiting for GP to speak to me next week.

GFR May 2022 was 73, GFR August 2023 58. Can this be a symptom of CKD?

I’ve also had bitter metallic taste in mouth for a good few months, feel tired a lot of the time. I like to look after myself with diet and fitness, 44 years old. Female on HRT for early onset perimenopause. TIA

Hi Poppy78! You probably don’t need to worry - from what I’ve understood so far. Your GFR can fluctuate. You might have been slightly dehydrated or just had a workout etc. make sure you drink enough water and have new tests taken. Totally understand your concerns though! ❤️

Best to retest and monitor over 3 months to get a better picture of what's going on.

Best wishes.

Do you do a lot of weight training/ HiiT? I'm guessing that might also have something to do with it.
