Uveitis

Has anyone suffered from uveitis? I’m not sure if it is from CKD or another underlying issue that I am unaware of. My eye doctor has me on steroid drops now. I have a follow up appointment on Monday.

I had uveitis long before I developed CKD. It was the result of an autoimmune disease. I was also put on steroid drops. It lasted about 3 weeks I believe. I was referred to see a rheumatologist/internal medicine. He was the one who diagnosed my disease and I now inject Humira to keep that under control. According to the mayo clinic website, “Possible causes of uveitis are infection, injury, or an autoimmune or inflammatory disease. Many times a cause can't be identified.” It might be worth pursuing this further. Best to you.

BickyBoo- thank you so much for sharing your experience. I will see if I can get a referral to pursue what the could possibly be causing the flare ups . You have helped me a lot by giving me a starting point.
