Enzalutamide Resistant already?
After my husband's PSA did not respond to zytiga, after rising post docetaxel while on Lupron and Casodex, he was switched to Enzalutamide. His PSA went from 6 to 1.0 ( August to September 12) in a month, now a month later( September 12-October 28) it's already back up to 1.6. Is he really already resistant

Received some good news
Previously I had stated my high PSA was 1,044. I was wrong, I found out yesterday the high was over 1,200 in May. It dropped on Casodex and peaked again when I quit Casodex. After 30 days on Zytiga it had dropped to 29. Now after 60 days of taking Zytiga I was to lt it is at 5.89. Significant drop

Switch from Firmagon to Zoladex
Met with my Urologist yesterday. I've been on Firmagon for 3 months, PSA dropped from 38 to 0.44 ug/L and Testosterone down to 0.6 nmol/L. He would like my testosterone to be lower so is switching me to Casodex and Zoladex. For background, I'm Gleason 4+4 and cancer in lymph nodes but not distant

Stopping Zytiga after 6months
After our last checkup with our med onco last Friday, he mentioned that my husband can stop taking Zytiga if his PSA drops to below zero after 6months treatment and just continue with Eligard and Xgeva. Brief info, my husband was diagnosed with advanced pca late June 2018 (PSA 33) with mets to bones

First official meeting with oncologist!
Hello All, Today I take my father to his oncologist to discuss treatment options. He is already on Casodex and Lupron from his urologist and the oncologist mentioned chemo treatments but have yet to solidify official treatment plan. I have created a few beginner questions to go over with oncologist

Shorter time castrate resistant = Zytiga and Xtandi will last even less than first line ADT?
Not always the case, my father became castrate resistant in 2 months with Casodex but is currently on almost his 5th month on Zytiga and doing well so far, so if you fail first line ADT it doesn't necessarily mean that 2nd line ADT will last less. Every patient is unique and responds differently to different

Hi We have just returned home from a most disappointing appointment with the oncologist. A quick reminder my husband was diagnosed in 2009 with locally advanced prostate cancer. Surgery to remove prostate was aborted due to lymph node involvement, started zoladex injections and had 39 fractions of radiotherapy

PSA from 86.6-1
On 7/18 PSA at 86.6. 8/7/18 Lupron + Casodex On 9/14 PSA at 1. Question- is that kind of a PSA drop normal, average? Is Lupron + Casodex considered a cancer killer or just slows it down?

Don't Give Up Hope. 4 Years after a dreadful dx of metastatic PC with a 209 PSA and bone mets, I am still undetectable
Hi all: I never imagined that I would be writing this positive post almost 4 years after my dreadful PC DX (2014) with a PSA of 209 and bone mets on pelvis to boot. I have been on Degalirix (Firmagon) injections on a monthly basis since then as well 50 mg of Casodex daily and today I just had full

Seriousness of "Flair" on Eligard
wondering about flair and what help is casodex? I'm in 2 weeks since 6mo shot and other than a few surprise "stiffie's" the SE are not bad yet.. last check of T before shot was 230 maybe that might be some of the answer. Ed

Drop in psa a bad thing?
Initial Psa 352 on August 8. Gleason 9 with extensive Mets. Casodex started August 20 Telstar shot on August 28 PSA on Sept 4 is 89. I thought this was a good result, but I have read some reports that suggests such a rapid response is a poor prognosis indicator, or a shorter time to crpc.

Hi. I started my adventure a year ago today, 8/31/2017. I guess it's time to say hello. I'll throw down my numbers. Maybe it will make some of you feel better about your numbers. Last summer I started to have some old-man urinary symptoms. I was 51, so they seemed par for the course. I was feeling a
