Hashi and water retention
Hi, I posted my blood test results about two weeks ago and then saw my doctor this past Wednesday. She told me to stop the T3, as it’s been over the last two times tested. She said to retest my thyroid levels in 7 weeks and the she would consider upping my dosage from 75 mcg of Synthroid. Yesterday

Gabapentin and liver resection
The help I have been given from this forum has been invaluable, I don't know where I would be without it. I have weaned myself off of Pramipexole and am now using Gabapentin, I don't think I have suffered anything like some of the other members. My question is, I need to up the dose, I am taking 1 x

Second morning cortisol test results still not up to scratch at 313.
To recap, I finished Prednisolone in January this year. Tiredness and irritability 😖led me to mention these symptoms to my consultant at my routine hospital review. Early morning cortisol test reading in July showed a score of 313-up from 240 in April. To obtain this latest score I carried out an e-consult

Splitting NDT - SHBG and cortisol changes - help!
Hi all, I have started splitting my Armour dose, taking less in the morning and more in the afternoon. I had a test for ft3 ft4, but also checked cortisol and SHBG. I was so surprised. My ft4 is similar to where it was before splitting, my ft3 is a tad higher. SHBG went up from 62 to 79.9. Cortisol

New blood results, still feel rubbish
I had full TT in March, some tissue remaining. I started on 25mcg of Levothyroxine but felt awful so Endocrinologist has increased this to 50 mcg with added 10 mcg of t3. I still don’t feel great. I slept from 1 pm until 4 yesterday, unheard of for me, I am 64 and normally very active. I also have very

Once a day T3ers only
Do you still do your blood tests in the same way as those on divided doses or T4? I can't think of any better way unless someone has any ideas? I am taking all my T3 on waking so got earliest appointment I could ( testing other stuff too so can't do my own finger prick test) and that is 10am Mon, sadly

Raised GGT
Following a routine ultrasound a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with multiple liver cysts including one large one (15cm). Liver blood tests showed raised ggt and alkaline phosphate. Ayear ago they were 95 and 135 respectively. My GP referred me to a liver specialist who remarked that he sees much

supplements and thyroxine
Hi all. I wanted to ask advice as I know that my GP will just suggest a regular blood test to see if the supplements are affecting my thyroxine. I hope you don’t mind taking some time to check if these ingredients are ok with my thyroid meds. I have uploaded pics. I guess it’s the iodine in my perimenopausal

You can't make this stuff up
8 years of IVF, 8 transfers, 3 miscarriages and one live birth in the midst of all of that for which we are very blessed. Just as we decide that we just don't think we can go on anymore as the only embryo left is very poor quality.............I get a positive pregnancy test from a natural conception

Genetic diagnosis
Hi all, sorry I haven't posted anything for ages but sometimes life is like that. I have finally got some sort of diagnosis. I had more genetic testing a couple of years ago and they have found that I have two anomalies on gene SPG7. This means that my disability is more spastic based than ataxia.

Why does Paul Robinson insist there’s no such thing as adrenal fatigue and T3 will fix low cortisol. It certainly hasn’t in my case .
I’m currently using armour thyroid at 2 grains and feel bloody awful. Same old same old symptoms I get when I try to increase Levo or Levo/t3. My adrenals suffer. I know it’s adrenals because I’ve been doing this for almost 5 years now. Really surprised with his info/advice which makes me doubt everything

NHS Endo - South East - Pro T3 - Three referral choices...
At around the same I had my local surgery
test
for blood FBC, blood sugar,
cholesterol
, calcium folate, B12 Iron etc. This was just to check for my self that I wasn't encountering any other issues. To my surprise they also checked my FT4, FT3 and TSH.

Iron Levels
this group is so helpful. Thank you to everyone, especially those experts. I’m currently weaning off pram with higher doses of gab. My PA in neurology is helpful with raising the gab as needed. However, I had my iron tests done with a 350 ferritin result and a 12% TSAT. So if I understand this

my boyfriend was diagnosed with kidney failure in August 2019 and since he got into Davita dialysis a month after, they prescribed him this pills 3X 3 times a day with every food to block the potassium since the kidneys supposedly weren’t working ok, he did so, and he never failed getting them, but,

Changing time of meditation
Hi, is it possible that by changing the time of your dose of thyroxine from morning to night can affect the absorption giving you effectively a higher dose? I have taken 100mcg early morning 3-4 hours before food for a long long time. My T4 was slightly over range on last blood test in July but I changed

NIH visit and Richters discussion
As some of you have posted about previously, today I also entered the NIH natural history study for CLL. The visit was good, efficient and pretty painless. Getting on the campus was straightforward only requiring a driver's license and a pre-registration with the CLL team that was seen by security.

Possible early Kidney Disease?
My husband has secondary, treatment resistant, hypertension and I was looking into possible health conditions that may be causing the high blood pressure and came across polycystic kidney disease. His recent blood test/urine test showed a egfr of 69, creatinine over the high normal range and protein
