Earlier today I posted a guess about IM vs SC administration of B12. I decided to so some looking around and found this paper - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4494621/ The results showed, for many of the drugs studied, there was little difference between the two routes. Just wondering if the few member with HUVS suffer with Angioedema and how they are treated? I've just received my diagnosis recently and have been told that my Angioedema attacks need to be treated with IV hydrocortisone and c1 inhibitor (berinert). Does anyone else use bradykinin or c1 inhibitor as

What Doctors Consider Beneficial treatment.
How does it make sense to replace one set of problems with another? Take levothyroxin fix your thyroid levels feel like an achy arthritic oldie. Take cytomel fix your thyroid level, nausea, heart like a mouse, high blood pressure headaches, Take hydrocortisone fix your adrenals bad/painful skin insulin

Insect bite, help identifying please :)
Can I have your opinions on this bite please? I have zero confidence in the GP who sent me away with hydrocortisone as he "didn't know" what it was. It grew to about the size of my hand.

~Short term memory loss 4 anyone on their PMR journey with steroids?~
~Good morning to you all from NZ~ Would be keen to hear from those who may have noted from their PMR journey with prx'd steroid meds if you may have been aware of short term memory loss? I ask in light of my now 18+ month PMR journey and hydrocortisone therapy as pred initially cause erosions in gut

Pituitary hypothyroidism
Dear all I'm sorry, I'm not even sure if this is correct, however asking on behalf of a friend. His pituitary was badly damaged and consequently his thyroid is out of whack. He has also had cancer and other issues, including an inability to produce FSH and Testosterone and human growth hormone. Recently

craniopharyngioma - advice needed.
Hi everyone. I'm desperate for some advice. I'm a 36 year old woman who had a craniopharngioma (brain tumour) as a child. The tumour caused severe damage to my optic nerves and pituitary gland, meaning I don't naturally produce most, if not all hormones that are released from there. I currently take:

Treating Adrenals
Hi My GP won't recognise my health symptoms as being hypothyroid, so I have been self treating using Dr P's Thyroid book. Over the last six weeks I have slowly ramped up the adrenalin supplement to 160mg a day of Adreno Lyph, and have now introduced 80mg Thyroid supplement. I have been feeling the best
