low cortisol
hello, I’ve repeatedly had lowish 9am cortisol (around 250ish mark) but passed SST. However, private endo has said he wants to trial a low dose of hydrocortisone to see if it helps my symptoms of chronic fatigue, headaches, muscle aches etc. etc. I’m nervous to trial a steroid when I don’t have Addison

Adrenal dysfunction
HelloI'm starting hydrocortisone treatment for adrenal dysfunction. Does anyone know if this will effect b12? Am I OK to continue with EOD injections? I'm wondering now if my symptoms are due to adrenal issues and not b12. Although my b12 before supplements was 215. Maybe both treatments will finally

Docetaxel Problems
Hi, not been on for a while now but got a problem with Docetraxel, had my third treatment a week ago Monday, as the nurse put the cannula in and flushed with sayline, the tops of my thumb and first three fingers went really hot, no tingleing or anything else nor was there any problem when the drug was

adrenals not working
After getting down to 3 mg of prednisone (still doing Actemra injections) my endo switched me to hydrocortisone for a couple of months. I got down to two 5mg tablets in AM and one 5mg tab in PM, the PM dose kept my blood pressure from going too low. Last month my endo did ACTH testing and said my Adrenal

Update on low Synacthen test
I posted a few weeks ago about having what I thought was a low Synacthen test of 180. I now have a doctor's letter which tells me it was 130!! They are referring me to an endocrinologist, and he says they may use hydrocortisone conversion. I've never heard of that. Anyone else had it and did it work

Hydrocortisone before blood test
I have a 9am blood test tomorrow to coincide with my doc’s follow up in a fortnight. I’ve had a terrible time with 2 grains of NDT and have returned to using hydrocortisone at 5mg am 2.5 lunchtime alongside 1/2 armour at bedtime. 1/2 armour is all I can manage without crashing. The HC brings immediate

Adrenal insufficiency & cardiac issues update
Busy times here. Last week met with the endo nurse to discuss slow steroid tapering and left with hydrocortisone injections, leaflets in case of an emergency. Very supportive. GP bumped me up the NHS cardiology list. Saw a consultant following a private echocardiogram/ heart monitor. She went through

Post Skin Biobsy Horribleness
I had a skin biopsy yesterday using local anaesthetic, standard skin puncture and a couple of stitches. I actually felt quite well after the procedure but feel like I've been run over by a truck today. I took 5mg of hydrocortisone about an hour ago and now feel slightly better. Is adrenal output taxed

Eye problem
I have been hypothyroid since 1994. Treatment began 1995. Am on T3 since about 6/7 years ago. My problem is my eyes, the eyelids and area around the eyes and below is very swollen and itchy. I have seen GP who prescribed 1% hydrocortisone cream which inflamed the skin and got worse. Saw nurse at walk-in

Medrol to Hydrocortisone for suspected steroid withdrawal?
I've been on Medrol since mid-December -Had successfully reduced from 48 mg to 4 mg and was doing well. Reduced from 4 mg to 3.5 mg and have had extreme fatigue, weakness, lightheaded, brain fog, nausea. No signs of PMR flare. Went back to 4 for a couple days, then 6 and still a mess. I felt like I was

Weaning off hydrocortisone
I’ve been taking hydrocortisone for about 3 months via a functional doctor. I’ve just realised I’m on the last strip and wondering if I should be weaning off, and if so how? I do need to make a review appointment but won’t get one before I run out. Any help much appreciated thanks!

On hydrocortisone after being on prednisone for close to 5 years
Anyone else had experience with going on hydrocortisone from prednisone after symptoms of adrenal insufficiency? Endocrinologist saying maybe she can get me off medication when I reach 10 mg.

Increased inflammation-flare?
In September last year my rheumatologist asked if while I was at Mayo Clinic I could see an endocrinologist about a possible testosterone issue. That was ok but I mentioned y long term prednisone, and getting off of them. I was put on 20mg hydrocortisone 10 in am and 10 at 3pm. Reduce to 15 after a month

Hi All, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor grade 2 Ependymoma in March of 2024. I had surgery but the doctor could only remove 10 To 15 % because of the location and several nerves surrounding the mass. I had radiation but after completion there was no change. Didn’t shrink but also didn’t grow.

Sudden diagnosis of CKD3 a few months following adrenalectomy
My wife was borderline cushing's disease back in fall. For years she had a nodule on her adrenal gland that was creating significant health issues. Had surgery to remove the one gland back in November, and then was on a course of hydrocortisone for about 4 months (gradually decreasing dosage until done
