Worried
Thursday evening I started to get palpitations, they were mild to what I’ve had before so I (stupidly) didn’t go to hospital. They subsided after 2 hours but my heart continued racing over 100bpm so after a few more hours I went to a&e. They did an ecg and hooked me up to fluids and gave me a dose of

hello to everybody! First time I’ve posted on any forum. I had a bout of breathlessness approx 2 years ago, with a chest infection. Had a chest X-ray & was told by Dr I have Copd. Was put on annoro ellipta with blue rescue inhaler. I am 61 years old, a self employed joiner by trade & still working.

15 year AF story
First episode of AF about 15 years ago. Heart rate ~155. Would sometimes reset itself. Initially fixed with Flecanide, then Amiodorone. Flecanide then inadequate and I suffered a very unpleasant fainting/blackout reaction to amiodorone when an IV drip was started in A&E. So further episodes sorted by

Ferritin
I have just had an Advanced Thyroid Test from Medichecks. My Free T4 and Free T3 may look good but I have been getting a return of my symptoms so have upped my NDT from 2.5 grains to 3. It is my ferritin which I am not happy about. Is it too low? I eat very little red meat which is probably why it is

Sleeping with ectopics
I have been getting ectopic beats for the last three weeks. At times it can be as many as 1 every 30 normal beats, at other times I don’t get one for hours. No idea what the triggers are. Already on BP meds, including Bisoprolol. Went to see GP last week, she sent me off to ED where an ECG, blood tests

Mycophenolate instead of Perfinedine or Nintenanib?
Hi everyone I became breathless suddenly in August 2023. This was initially dismissed by my GP even though O2 was 90% as my chest was clear and I had no cough. A fortnight later I was able to get an appointment with a different GP who sent me for a chest X ray which showed I had pulmonary fibrosis.

Pretty stressed
Hi lovely people. I have HF and a CRT-d. Been ok for a while but had to have a chest X-ray recently for another issue. It’s come back showing a trace of copd/bronchitis damage? The doc said if I start having symptoms they’ll give me an inhaler. One doctor said don’t worry about it but another asked

The Rheumatology Saga Continues!
UPDATE..... Was offered an NHS Rheumatologist appointment today due to a late cancellation and I thought I'd take it rather than wait until February to see my Benenden Rheumatologist. I met a Dr Chung and he was absolutely lovely.....spent 45 mins running me through everything and checking my results

My story is a long story.Everything was fine with my GP and had a good gp/patient relationship-had full trust in him -until 2011 when he referred me to rheumatology because he thought my symptoms were something else besides my Fibromyalgia. The rheumatologist did nothing except tell me" you need to lose

asking for advice please? I started with PMR last October, as soon as I was prescribed 15 ml Prednisolone I felt like I had been given a magic wand. The medication has gradually been reduced & I am now down to 6mg. I have had no trouble ever since. About 4 days ago, I guessed I had pulled a muscle

I was originally trialing 5 microgram 7 day patches that got me out of that dark tunnel but wasn’t 100% effective so after the initial 3 week trial I wrote to Dr Christopher Murphy explained the situation and he arranged for me to collect 10 microgram 7 day patches from Salford Royal Infirmary. I applied
