I live in France and so therefore cannot obtain private blood test results for Folate, B12, and Ferritin without catching a ferry and returning to the UK which I am too ill to do at present. I do however have a full blood count from a few months ago. My questions is can anybody on this site help me

So after disappointing first Endo appointment with a very proud of herself Diabetes specialist I was quite shocked to get a phone call minutes ago , just before 5 on a Friday from aforementioned Endo. To tell me my results, and was some Ok bits and some not so OK. She called she said as my vit D

help to understand test results
After a year of monitoring my TSH due to a bout of subacute thyroiditis, initially suspected as thyroid cancer. I am now at a point where my GP feels medication may be required and have undertaken an extensive range of blood tests through the GP I have an appointment on the 4th July to discuss options

NDT to T3 & T4 - brands, and how to transition?
I'm wondering how to make the transition from NDT to T3 & T4, specifically how slowly is it best to go and which brands of T3 & T4 are most widely accepted/least likely to cause reactions? I'm assuming I would translate my current dose of 1.75 grain NDT into the equivalent T3 & T4 and start on that?

Hello everyone, I've been struggling quite a bit lately with symptoms that seemed consistent with thyroid issues, including difficulty to conceive (had a failed IVF last year after many years of trying to have a baby). I had the tests done and I got a copy of my results, and I was wondering if someone

The nuclear team and thyroid oncologist made it 100% clear , that prior to ANY blood tests, if one is taking thyroxine, it is ESSENTIAL to

What could cause such dramatic weight gain
I have currently been on .1 mg Synthroid and 5 mcg Cytomel for three months, and while the blue lips, freezing cold and fatigue are gone, my legs are super swollen and hard, my "weight" is up 20 pounds in two months (unexplained by diet / lifestyle). Nutrients of importance are almost optimal and still

Could a member please explain the T3 feedback loop?
Hello, I have been on NDT since June of 2021. I am currently taking 175mg of compounded thyroid. About two hours after taking my thyroid capsule I often feel hot and sometimes a bit anxious ( like being overmedicated) but in the afternoon I am out of gas. My cortisol is high in the early morning, good

Advice
Hi Not been here for a while as I have been investigating possible Hyperparathyroidism - still ongoing, it's a long road! Also had to deal with a gallbladder removal too...but now resolved 🤞 I'm having private bloods to check for raised Calcium (for HPT), which also test my thyroid. As both problems

Switch to Mucuna
Apologies if this has been asked and answered earlier. I am looking for a guide to switch from C/L to Green tea/Mucuna. Is there a method to calculate green tea against equivalent carbidopa doses? Is brewed green tea better or green tea extract capsule? Is there any interaction between green tea and

Lanzoprazole and side effects
Hello, I am over 2 years past Ivor Lewis oesophagectomy and have been taking Lanzoprazole 15mg once a day, then Gavison at night. I’ve found that my folate and ferritin are low , probably caused by ppi use and wonder if anyone has managed to come off them. I know they have lots of potential bad effects
