I saw my oncologist yesterday and told her my ablation had been successful (performed last September - no AF since) but she questioned that as I am still on 100mg Flecainide in the morning and 75mg at night .75 Bisoprolol was it really successful. Should I be looking to stop all medication as Flecainide

My Story and I'm thinking someone can relate?
My AFIB story goes back several years. It first began back in 2008. I had been having "spells" that were mild and usually went away with rest. But then that stopped working and I ended up at a cardiologist's office. They did a chemically induced stress test and placed me on Betapace and diltiazem.

Refractory Angina Treatments
Well after waiting just over a year , I finally had a face to face appointment with the Pain Management Doctor. After discussing my symptoms he suggested we start with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and if that is not effective an injection in the neck called a 'Stellar Ganglion Block' (I think!).

I know I'm a broken record - but why won't they listen or help?
I'm like, just fix me up doc, otherwise I might end up like a past pt of mine who bought some street.made
CBD
oil, which was the most.potent thing I've ever smelt, and got herself thoroughly stoned in an attempt to self manage her pain.

Slow pulse
Hi Folks, I've just been for my second part of the heart stress test as the consultant wanted to know if I could take flecainide whilst I wait for my appointment to get another ablation. The resting test was last week but today I was told (after the canula had gone in) that my pulse was too low.

Drugs to treat blood pressure that do not interact with hormones
My blood pressure is quite high and the doctor prescribed me Candesartan, but it seems that it interacts with thyroid hormones even though I take it 2 hours apart. I have hypo symptoms afert that I take it. What to do?

My cardiologist’s instructions on taking beta blockers
I’m in persistent AFib and awaiting my 2nd cardioversion. I too was only taking my beta blocker when my heart rate was raised significantly. WRONG! said the Cardiologist last week (he seemed exasperated) . Take it as prescribed because it will gradually build up a mechanism in your system which is working

Is chronic itching for no reason related to PSP or CBD?
My husband always itches, mostly on his back but sometimes everywhere. There appears to be no reason for it, no marks such as rash or bumps. Moisturizers and anti itch creams do not help. I wonder if, like heat intolerance, his brain is telling him he itches.

can you help me
Hello everyone. I am reaching out because I need some help. I was diagnosed with Afib a month ago. I was given a prescription for Apixiban, which I take 2 x daily and also Metoprolo - to take as needed. I had to take the Metoprolo yesterday because my heart went up to 135 and was also irregular.

Strictly speaking, hypothyroid?
I recently ordered my NHS hospital records. I had reported major symptoms on a number of occasions over the years - eventually diagnosed vasospastic angina (known as coronary artery spasm at the time) - and saw a cardiologist, finally, in
2001
. My TSH and FT4 were asked for. I went on to have

Going abroad on holiday with AF!?
Hello , A month ago, my AF returned after 6 years AF free following Ablation in 2016. However this time it seems to be with me every day for at least 12 hours on and off. It seems to settle when I lay down and rest and overnight. But any exertion ramps it up. Thankfully my heart rate stays steady

Sudden loss of ability to move?
He's been labeled "Possible
CBD
" because he didn't respond to levodopa like a normal Parkinson's patient. But does this sound more like PSP? Thanks in advance for any pointers!

More about Dexascan / AA / Adcal
I opened up intending to post about my latest AA Prescription dilemma - and still would like some advice. I wasn't sure whether to add to Blackcat1M's post - but it seemed a bit rude to invade her space! Anyhow, my GP prescribed me AA and Adcal -D3 early May on basis I had been on Pred since PMR arrived

AF sessions
Good Morning everyone. Well have had a right three weeks with my AF also hearing my heart beating at normal pace all through my body. Was rushed to Cheltenham General. Came home on the night. Then next day AF went crazy and I was rushed to Gloucester Royal A and E. Probably the worst night of my life

A positive A&E experience
There has been so much comment about bad hospital experiences that I thought I should report a good one. Last night, just as the death of the Queen was announced, my husband was taken ill with acute abdominal pain. I phoned 999, got a quick reply and a sympathetic response and an ambulance crew arrived
