My husband always itches, mostly on his back but sometimes everywhere. There appears to be no reason for it, no marks such as rash or bumps. Moisturizers and anti itch creams do not help. I wonder if, like heat intolerance, his brain is telling him he itches.

Is chronic itching for no reason related to PSP or CBD?
Hi Perrywrinkle!
These are our experiences about itching:
• Itching and scratching. There are usually episodes of very annoying itching that impels the patient to scratch, producing wounds. The cause seems to be related to a dry skin. Our solution has been: washing hair and a shower with soapless emulsion with olive oil (Sebamed-ph5,5) every two days, then apply moisturizer-nouriser cream with olive oil all over the body insisting on the driest áreas of skin and special moisturizing cream for the feet. If, despite all the precautions, an episode of itching occurs, we apply a cream in the area where the itching occurs, called "Talquistina", which bases its action on the calamine.
Consulting the dermatologist is always a good idea.
Hug and luck.
Luis
I have CBD and I also have a lot of itching especially on my back.
My husband had itchy skin too. It was due to a medication. He had sensitivity to certain colorings and when they switched it out, the itch went away.. just a different perspective
My mother too has also been very itchy on her legs, hands , neck and face for no clear reason. I’ve been giving her cool showers and moisturize her skin using theraplex with a bit of coconut oil but it only helps temporarily. Levicyn ( needs a prescription ) has helped her lately
Sometimes I wonder if it’s related to kidney function or the fact that urinating is becoming harder for her - and that’s causing her to itch
Polygon, I've also wondered about the connection to kidney problems. My husband has diabetes and up until the last 6 years he didn't check blood sugars regularly. I suspect, due to recent lab results that he has some degree of kidney disease. Thank you for your response and also for mentioning Levycin .... I'm going to ask his dr.
