My blood pressure is quite high and the doctor prescribed me Candesartan, but it seems that it interacts with thyroid hormones even though I take it 2 hours apart. I have hypo symptoms afert that I take it. What to do?

Drugs to treat blood pressure that do not interact with hormones
hi, I was listening to a podcast last week that suggested balancing salts (sodium v potassium) is really good for resolving these symptoms along with balancing blood pressure. Here is the link, the first few minutes are marketing guff but the guest has a lot of interesting points. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podca... 🦋💚🦋
There are plenty of alternative BP meds out there, just a matter of finding the right one. In what way does it affect your thyroid hormones? What are the symptoms?
Have to say I thought Amlodipine was usually first line of treatment.
Hi, after half an hour my skin becomes matte/dry (normally it's a bit shiny), I feel out of space, airy, constipated, have a ringing in my ears, etc.In the evening I get back to normal and feel ok, but a few hours after taking the medicine I feel like I'm hypothyroid.
When I was taking Amlodipine I was fine and it caused no problem with my thyroid hormones. I took Amlodipine at bedtime and my thyroid hormones around 3-5am when I need the bathroom.
I take Hawthorn extract capsules for my BP and it works well. One at breakfast and another with supper. My BP has gone completely back to normal on it. I found it online when the medication made me ill and I prefer natural. Most GP's in Germany recommend this instead of BP medications it's been used for over 100 years. It takes a few weeks to kick in.
