Xtandi Monotherapy = To Lupron or Castration
I just read a study where Xtandi Monotherapy was equal to Lupron with way less long term side effects Below meet my pal Gustave having a hippo for lunch...he has killed 300 men...I plan on wrestling Gustave when Xtandi fails...why go out on a morphine drip when you can go out in style. What is mCRPC
I’m getting mixed signals on whether or not my cancer is
castration
resistant. My PSA went down to zero after chemo but has risen to 20 over the past year while on Lupron. My oncologist said that since my bone mets have not returned I am not
castration
resistant.

Castration resistant prostate cancer - Starting Jevtana with Prednisone in a few days
My Dad has
castration
resistant prostate cancer. He has already done surgery over 20 years ago, and has tried Zytiga for about two years until it stopped working. He was placed on Xtandi which put his body through hell. His doctor had to stop the medication and gave my Dad a few months to recover.

Erleada , a new prostate cancer treatment
Erleada just received FDA approval for non-metastatic
castration
resistent prostate cancer. https://malecare.org/erleada/ Ever though many in this community may not be in the nmCRPC category, I think we can all feel hopeful that new treatments are being developed.

Transfusion dependent after Radium 223 and Xtandi - DRs want to stop his weekly transfusions. Help!
My dad has
castration
resistant advanced prostate cancer with bone metastasis and suddenly became transfusion dependent on a weekly basis just one month ago. He had been getting monthly Radium 223 injections for 3-4 months and taking Xtandi.

Fewer drugs after surgical castration? Upside? Downside?
Is Orchiectomy a durable cure? Does one continue on some form of ADT or wait until a rise in Testosterone and PSA? I admit my ignorance, so please be kind (thinking of Nala...et.al).

Is Orchidectomy right for me?
I am considering surgical

as an option to chemical treatment for PCa. I have been taking Lupron/Zytiga + prednisone for nearly a year. The results have been excellent--PSA undetectable--and I have grown used to the side effects, which, in my case, have not been unendurable.

Hello, I have metastatic prostate cancer (bony metastases). Thus far, I have had 39 radiation treatments, have been on Lupron for over one year (in tandem with Bicumulide first, and now Xtandi). ADT or Orchiectomy
Four months back the disease turned to
castration
resistant. My M.O has added zytiga. But I have to still continue Lupron injections. I am looking for the possibility of an Orchiectomy as an alternative for lupron injections to reduce my expenses. Is it a good decision?
