Trying to cope…
In October 2021, my dad was diagnosed with a terminal Glioblastoma. In the same week, we also found out my mum had bowel cancer. Both underwent a operation. Mum is now hopefully all clear and hasn’t needed any chemo. Dad hasn’t been as lucky and now lives in a care home, receiving palliative care. I’

What stage of CBD is dad at?
Many Thanks 🤗 One other question, my mom is dad's main
carer
. On my non working days I help and
support
where I can. The days I'm not there I feel riddled with guilt. I have currently taken 2 weeks off work. In this time I can see how much things are deteriorating & how shattered mom is.

Clinical trials for Richter's transformation
Hello. I would like to ask if you know of any current clinical trials for patients with Richter's Transformation who have already reached the Car-T and it did not work for them. We have in our group a very young 22-year-old boy whose Car-Ts didn't work for him in the UK. They have told him that they

Biopsy in intervention radiology
I'm 77 years old, was diagnosed with Stage 3c in February 2017. I went through 2 rounds of chemo - was on Zejula since 3-27-20, but my CA-125 steadily climbed to 377, so my Dr. discontinued it. I had a CT scan on 1-7-22 because I felt bloated most of the time, especially after eating. The scan showed

Hello health unlocked friends! It's been a while since I posted here. I wanted to give an update. My latest very sad news
I posted on here quite some time ago. My beloved husband had been on immunotherapy (Keytruda) for lung cancer. He was doing so well - until he developed meningitis and was taken off the programme. He was out on steroids. He was observed and had MRI scans. Six months later he went on to chemotherapy.

Update on Brother
I wrote a week or so ago about my older brother. He has since been released from the Hospital they are recommending Skilled Nursing or Home Care but he is refusing. At a minimum we have tried to push for Palliative Care and again he refuses. I worry about him as he live alone in a tiny camper and

Diagnosed with cancer (HCC) just from a scan?
My father has been diagnosed with HCC from a scan. The fact it appears to be in a vein means he’s refused a transplant and given palliative care only. I sought some second opinions in Germany and Italy and they both looked at the same scan and do not believe it’s cancer. They recommended a biopsy.

Webinar - 3.30pm 10th December - End of life care for leukaemia
Hi all this a delicate and very important topic. We all work together here with hope and information to help each other cope when with living with Leukaemia. One day that may change and we may require different information to prepare should treatment no longer be appropriate and options run out. This

Today is November 13
Today is November 13. Today marks exactly one year since my father was admitted to the hospital for what we would later find out was septic shock. At 10:24am, as I was attempting to walk my dad down the stairs to take him to the ER because he did not seem well, my dad stopped breathing. I laid him down

CHC - when is the right time?
Dad is full time
carer
and I am there to
support
him as much as mum. I have power of attorney (health and financial) to take off some of the strain from dad.
