No PIP after Ablation.
( With the
Cardioversion
the Consultant uses a different method to my previous three, he places one pad on the left chest and one directly behind it on the back, it requires less electricity apparently.

New episode
For context, I've had momentary palpitations for years but 2 years ago had an episode of AF with irregular heartbeat and needed a
cardioversion
to fix it. Since then I've been on 5mg Bisoprolol and Amlodipine daily to also keep high blood pressure in check.

I used to have a strong healthy heart
He did the
cardioversion
, echocardiogram and angiogram. The
cardioversion
got my heart back to normal for a brief time only. The echocardiogram showed enlarged left atrium, and the angiogram showed absolutely no obstructions in my blood vessels.

18-month update - my linear weight-loss and maintenance.
I lost weight the way I am now maintaining: No counting - and a lifetime healthy eating LCHF/IF lifestyle. Weight loss can be quite linear (...I did Stay The Same one week early on, but I lost six pounds in two weeks - and left out the intervening plots!). I lost a stone at two pounds a week, and I lost

AF and heart failure
After
cardioversion
and anti-arrhythmic drugs, as well as metoprolol (beta blocker) and lisinopryl (ACE inhibitor), he has had no more AF and his heart failure drastically improved by March. And he had an ablation about six weeks ago.

Can Iron deficiency cause AF ?
A blood test several months ago showed up low ferritin levels and 3 months after I had my first AF which I had a
cardioversion
for. Last week I had a new blood test and my ferritin level is exactly the same even after taking iron tablets for 6 months.

He said the amiodarone was to prime me for the
cardioversion
. He then scheduled me for a
cardioversion
a week later. On that scheduled date a echocardiogram was to be performed, thereafter would have a the

Advice needed-what to ask EP
Bit of background, several episodes of AF over the last few months, last one particularly bad, in hospital 6 days (they thought I'd had a heart attack due to high troponin, and then in AF, very debilitated for 6 weeks then successful

in September.

Feeling of anxiety
I have HFPEF and leaking valves, I recently underwent
cardioversion
for AF (successful) . I am getting a feeling like butterflies or like what you might get on a big dipper or fairground ride. I described it as an anxiety feeling in the title but I am not an anxious or nervous person at all.

Feeling Rotten After Cardioversion
Hi, I had a
cardioversion
on Monday. I was in atrial flutter at the time with a HR of 150+. I was expecting to feel instantly better afterwards. HR currently 65 which is good but felt as though my legs had turned to lead and I had no energy during a two mile walk in the park with my hubby.

There is hope.
really so bad I couldn't keep up with simple things like walking, stairs became exhausting, back in June I was taking a friend to hospital, after a flight of stairs I went grey in the face and breathless, straight to A&E, after a few weeks, July I went back in as an emergency and was given a jump start (

Trying to understand AF
Recently, I had been in AF continuously for 6 months when I underwent my first
Cardioversion
. This was successful but sadly reverted to AF while I was in recovery, a very short time after. Approximately 2 weeks later I am back in normal rhythm.

cardioversion
. This was successful and was discharged on flecanide 300mg a day, bisoprolol, Ramipril and Warfarin, (I am now taking Apixaban instead).

Post cardioversion exhaustion
Had atrial flutter for 48 hours in 2015, after successful
cardioversion
it took me about a month before I felt well again, I mean to have a totally normal life: running, working etc. This was both on and off flecainide.
