Almost a year of NSR
Ambulance and
cardioversion
, which I’m so pleased to say worked and I’m home now. After my last electronic
cardioversion
I only stayed in NSR for three days. I didn’t rest up much on the second day I remember.

Advice please
After going into atrial fibrillation my consultant wanted to get my TSH levels such that I can have a successful
cardioversion
. this meant that I had to reduce the level of T3 So these are the latest blood results and I would be very grateful for advice.

Pill in Pocket Question
Does anyone know if there are different antiarrhythmic drugs that could still allow for a pill in pocket
cardioversion
option? I am considering going off the Sotalol as this is causing me great anxiety. Thx in advance for any insights!

I had AF In July 2021 And I had a successful
cardioversion
in September 2021. Nearly six months later I’ve been fine and had no issues apart from the shock of getting AF aged 41 it has given me real issues with anxiety.

Need advice. Back on A fib but feel really good!
Had really good results for about four years had a couple of a fib episodes had a
cardioversion
or two. But it was going well. Then I had a serious episode of heart failure and they diagnosed me with 100% electrical block from my AV node. They rushed me to the hospital and gave me a pacemaker.

Are these AFib effects permanent
I’m awaiting
cardioversion
but I have never felt so unable to walk and I am so tired I feel like I’ve had a horse tranquilliser (not that I ever have had 😆) My beta blockers were increased and another BP pill added in (I am aware they cause fatigue but I cannot go any distance or pace without keep stopping

AF Ablation at London Bridge
Hi guys, after being diagnosed with AF 18 months ago and two Cardioversions, I had an ablation at London Bridge yesterday which now has me in Sinus Rhythm with a nice strong beat. I’d been in persistent AF for 7 months, so had my doubts wrt a successful outcome, seemed to be 50/70% chance. The team

My cardiologist is organising a
Cardioversion
for me, but what if I am in normal sinus rhythm on the day of this procedure ? Will they still do it ? I forgot to ask the doctor !

Risk of endocarditis reoccurring
I’ve had
cardioversion
and I’m waiting for ablation. My level of health anxiety is through the roof. The endocarditis nearly killed me and my surgeon said it caused the stroke. Nobody can tell me what the risk of reoccurrence might be and I am terrified.

Edinburgh Electrophysiologist recommendation, anyone?
Last year, after the 2nd
cardioversion
, the cardiology dept treating me said they would contact me re an appointment, but have not done so, whether through Covid or the fact I'm now 70, I don't know.

Amiodorone.
I had a
cardioversion
a year ago that worked well for 6 months. Since then I have been in AF. No tachycardia, just an irregular heartbeat. It makes me feel unwell and short of breath.

Have their been Atrial Fibrillation targets in the NHS?
I was diagnosed with AFib at the end of 2018 and referred to an NHS hospital in London. I didn't hit it off with them, largely I think because I was unsure if I wanted any treatment. I had a consultation today with a consultant at a different NHS hospital and he thought it very sensible just to live

Cardioversion was not what I expected
Is this really what a
cardioversion
is like as it’s certainly not what I had read prior to the procedure.

Ablation tomorrow
I had my first one about a year ago which gave me 3 months of NSR after a
cardioversion
a couple of weeks after the procedure. I’ve gone private for this one and will be ablated by my own cardiologist. I don’t know why but I just feel nervous, I’m sure many of you can relate.

Seems to be going well at last !
I was just 'looking back'..........4 years since I noticed some paroxymal AF. 3 and a half years since it went persistent constantly (90-130 bpm) and I finally got it diagnosed. 3 years since a failed
cardioversion
. 2 years since an abandoned sedated PV cryo ablation, as I went into asystole (

First Cardioversion today!
Hi everyone, Had my first
Cardioversion
this morning and just at home relaxing. I felt great immediately and especially knowing my heart has been returned to a normal rhythm from being in AF all the time . The team who took care of me and the 20 other patients was brilliant.

Fourth time a char?
Quick history-
cardioversion
to stop first event, cryoballoon ablation to stop subsequent ones. It lasted 4 years but with Afib episodes sporadically [despite beta blocker, dronedarone, Amiodarone (not all at the same time!)]. Two more rf ablations, three more cardioversions.
