Some time ago I recall a member reporting a good experience with an Edinbugh EP. I thought I'd saved the post, but cannot find it.
After 2 cardioversions, I've now been in persistent AF for over 2 years. Last year, after the 2nd cardioversion, the cardiology dept treating me said they would contact me re an appointment, but have not done so, whether through Covid or the fact I'm now 70, I don't know. I'm presuming my AF is now permanent, but my quality of life is poor, so I'm thinking of one last roll of the dice with a private EP consultation.
I have an idea that it was a Dr. Chris Lang that was mentioned, but cannot be sure. If any one has any comments or recommendations, I'd be very grateful.
Cheers, Bill

Chris Lang at Spire is the man. I saw him 6 months ago and found him brilliant. He recommended a change of meds which worked really well. Best money I've ever spent. He tells me he's carried out over 1,000 ablations with only one issue, and that was easily resolved.
Yes, Bill. Dr Chris Lang, lovely man. Also for me the best money I have ever spent in my life, in one private consultation he answered all my questions, clearly laid out my options, and even hand wrote a medication letter to my GP on the spot, and gave it to me to hand in (treated like a grown-up!). Next day I had the prescribed meds from my pharmacy. All the best.
What a relief. Thanks for posting Bill. I am in the position of looking for a private EP consultation and can go to Glasgow or Edinburgh. I have been wondering who to go to……….now I know! Good luck and might see you there 😂
Yes, Chris Lang is excellent in both his advice in consultations and his practical skills. I know people who have had very successful ablations carried out by him and I have had very helpful consultations with him.
