Afib heat laser Ablation
Here's a quick back round. 61 years old. Have had Afib off and on for 25+ years. So after countless Cardioversions, numerous Homeopathic regimens and a try of SotaloI (which was the worst by the way). I always ended up back in Afib along with the terrible quality of life that goes with it within days

Surgery with AF
Problem now is I have to get AF stable before they will do my knee but having had ablation and
cardioversion
in the past both only lasted 4 months before going back into AF. As waiting lists are so long I could get AF under control and be back in AF before I can get op done.

A brief introduction
I have already had a
cardioversion
which at first seemed to be successful but unfortunately, AFIB came back in just 2 days. I have recently been offered a surgical ablation and I can hardly wait to have it done as my AFIB is progressing and my quality of life is diminishing.

Permanent Afib Diagnosis Next Step?
I've had a electrical
cardioversion
but it lasted less than a day before I went back into Afib. It was said that a second one will probably not be any better.

Vitamin C and AF
If it's effective it will be a very simple and cheap post treatment therapy, especially after
cardioversion
for instance.

An anniversary....of sorts
It was four years ago today that I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter and given a DC
cardioversion
(after the chemical
cardioversion
failed).

Failed fourth ablation
If it flips into fibrillation, do we go back to er for
cardioversion
? Left in the dark, no hope....any ideas?

I've made a big decision!
I have had three ablations. MAY 2020 lasted 9 months and was fo.lowed by three electrical cardioversions in six weeks. Leading to another urgent ablation... No.2 April 2021, lasted five months. Followed by four more cardioversions in four months, leading to another urgent ablation... No3 Jan 2022, lasted

Beast is Back
I’m hoping for a
cardioversion
to return to nsr or an auto convert. The strange thing is that I’m now in acceptance mode rather than resistance. I keep thinking, “I’ve been slowed down but I’m still alive. I’ve lost my vim&vigor but not my determination to just keep plodding along.”

Minimally invasive Surgical Ablation carried out in UK, preparing for surgery
The success rate at 12 months is 85%, occasionally a touch up cryoablation is required and sometimes a
cardioversion
. So countdown begins….. #surgicalablation #minimaze

Should I have an ablation?
On the first occasion it was stopped through meds and on the second I had
cardioversion
. I had no prior history of AF despite earlier OHS. I’m currently on 10mg of bisoprolol and 62.5mg of digoxin. Fortunately I’ve not had a repeat of the atrial flutter.

Hi all im new here. Ive suffered from Afib for a while now and have had two ablations and three cardioversions. One ablation i woke up during and screamed/struggled. I think more damage was done because of this however never got a straight answer from my consultant. Anyway as a resullt i had to give

May the Fourth be with me!
Cardioversion
took care of an atrial tachycardia episode back in February. Per EP’s instructions, came off metoprolol and flecainide four days prior to today … and amazingly no Afib or flutter. In fact, feeling quite well. So wondering if I should proceed once again!

Link between AF and Eyesight ?
Hi, Following a successful
cardioversion
on the 2nd February I reverted back into persistent AF on the 22nd March. My cardiologist put me back onto 2.5mg of Bisoprolol which keeps my resting heart rate at around 70 bpm although at times in can drop to 60.

Do you pass more water after a Cardioversion .
I had a
Cardioversion
on the 8th.I am constantly passing more water. Is this normal or could it be because I have started dieting? Not in AFib

A Difficult Choice
I have persistent AF, coupled with a naturally low heart rate and more recently I had a number of blackouts which occurred when I was in NSR for a short while after a
cardioversion
.

AF and cardioversion
My Doctor isn't keen on progressing a
cardioversion
for me to fix my AF. Her reasoning is that I am prone to AF and that the most dangerous time is when you flip from normal heartbeat to AF. I had a
cardioversion
5/6 years ago which did fix my AF.

Amiodarone after ablation
A week afterward, I had an afib episode that had to be treated with
cardioversion
even though I was taking 120 mg of TR diltiazem. A second episode began a week later and they told me to start 200 mg of amiodarone, which has big side effects on many and takes six months to clear once it’s stopped.
