newly diagnosed with AF and been super anxious ever since
They performed a
cardioversion
and put me on bisoprolol 2.5mg daily. Stayed a couple days in hospital which I got an echo ultrasound on my heart which came back fine. Did a sleep study which I’m still waiting to hear the results on if I have sleep apnea. 2 stress tests done.

How do you know if you are still in sinus rhythm
I had my first
Cardioversion
two days ago. I had three shocks to get my heart back into sinus rythmn. I thought I would feel much better but to be honest I feel just the same. I still have palpitations, still feel like I have run a marathon by the end of the day.

He is having a
cardioversion
on Thursday, we are both very worried, I just wondered if anyone on here has experienced this and what was the outcome after. I feel that our world has come crashing down, and I don't know what the future holds. 🥺

Neuropathy
I also had kidney failure and heart arrythmia and needed
cardioversion
. After coming out of icu I had a pacemaker implanted. After being discharged from hospital I was recovering well after about six months when I started getting pins and needles in my legs and a burning sensation at night.

I already have permanent AF since Raster this year and due for
cardioversion
at end of month. I’ve been suffering from breathlessn ess and heart palpitations for months which was put down to long covid. Does anyone have similar experiences and what is prognosis for myocarditis?

Back In AFib
I generally don't revert naturally and required a
cardioversion
in the past. To say I am disappointed is an understatement as I really thought it had gone. Has anyone any experience of what the likely view of cardiology will be after 2 ablations? I was in persistent AF previously.

Persistant AF but the irregular irregular variety.
I had understood
cardioversion
may help reverse the AF. Would be interested to hear experiences from any others with sub 100 pulse rate of the permanently irregular variety.

Breathing - Breathlessness
Oh well, my first
Cardioversion
lasted less than 1 hour, last year, so now on the route of ablation, which, I myself am not keen on.

3 ablations none worked
And no medication and

also don’t work for me.

Amiodarone Report
My consultant says that it will improve the chance of a successful
cardioversion
and will help keep my heart in sinus rhythm afterwards. Amiodarone has already improved my heart significantly, as a result I am significantly less breathless and have more energy.

Rising resting HR
Not so much an AFib post, but 6 weeks after a successful
cardioversion
I'm keeping a very close eye on my HR and this week it seems to be rather elevated. Each morning I wake and check my overnight resting HR according to my Fitbit.

Second Ablation Recovery
(previously had 6
cardioversion
s too) Oh, but it was my groin stitches that had me climbing the walls. Last pain relief at 7:30pm, stitches out at 11pm. Yes, I know it’s only one longer stitch that’s cut first, but anyway, my threshold is pretty high but this brought me to tears.

Permanent AF, decision to do nothing
Try
cardioversion
, see what happens and consider ablation only if the
cardioversion
works and brings a great improvement of quality of life (because my case is not even worth the risk) I choose for the
cardioversion
, I know I have few success rate and it won’t be forever even if it works.

I was put on amiodarone although I was very worried about it,because I was told it would help with a forthcomoning
cardioversion
,whilst I was told this had been successful,I am not sure whether I have gone back into AF and wonder whether I have to continue taking amiodarone if an ablation is the next

AF back 6 days after Covid vacc
I'd been in NSR for over 3 1/2 years following a
cardioversion
after 9 months of persistent AF, but I woke for the loo at 3.30am on Monday and found I was back in AF - which is so far persisting. Sigh! My first thought about the trigger was that I was dehydrated.
